The Steelers are getting closer to having a deal done with Rodgers, this was just announced on 93.7 here in Pittsburgh. I guess X(twitter) is down, so no link.

You can stop with the bad news any damn day there Tom! I was having such a great day and your Debbie Downing it straight to H :ROFLMAO: ell!

Not who I want but I will cheer him on if he is here. Some of you are just to sour all the time.
I'll cheer for the team and still pick them to win every week but this is the worst possible option right now for them. I sure hope they are even looking at younger options in Darnold and Daniels. At least they might have some ceiling left in them in the right situation. Rodgers is Rodgers. His floor is higher (unless he gets hurt again at his age) but he has no ceiling. He is only going to get worse from what he was.

I agree except I do think he could improve on last year simply for being a year further removed from the Achillies.

If this happens, this will go down as one of the worst signings of all time for the Steelers. Take an over the hill QB, that has not played well in 3 years, that has the mobility of Kent Graham, and put him behind our OL. Combine that with the drama that surrounds Rodgers everywhere he has ever been and his petulant attitude...what could possibly go wrong. Organizations rot from the top down, but when chasing a .500 record and playoff berth is your only aspiration, you make desperate decisions.

Possibly but I also remember someone saying his numbers last year looked better from afar as they were behind so much that he had to go to more no huddle and quick stuff. Would Tomlin allow him that freedom? I doubt it since he clamped down on Ben as well but Ben said FU and did it his way to come from behind and win over half the games in his final year.

I think he won't have a choice with Rodgers but to let him run the offense. That may be the one saving grace to this if it is what happens. It also could be a ruse to put pressure on Fields.

I agree and will do the same. I wanted Rodgers when he was first available before the Jets got him even though I know dude is off field nuts, but there is no doubting his football resume. Problem is if Wilson (who is still semi-mobile) can't escape what this turnstile O-line allows to go on in the backfield...what is going to happen to Rodgers? The only advantage to him is he can read a defense well and can release the ball quickly(when he wants to....) He could give you a 1 to 2 year window to win it all..and with Metcalf here now...still it's a big maybe.

If Rodgers is signed, my hope is we draft Dart or Howard and let them learn from a future Hall of Fame QB. We need to add a CB, OT and sign Milton Williams on D ASAP in Free Agency.
