That is the time between now and draft day.

We have many theory’s as who / when / strategy of up coming draft.

The real Question………………….

What are you doing as far as draft party / entertainment / watching / home alone / cooking with DIC / etc…………………..

I, myself don’t do much anything special. I use to enjoy the draft in the OLD days, but because of the money greed machine it has just gotten to bull-shitt-y to enjoy. To long of time, criminal 3-day event shoved down our throats with no refreshment in sight.

Add in our stale HC and scheme of Groundhog Day to come…………. Does it really matter who we pick. (You can tell I developed little patience for the inevitable).

In any event, I watch a little here and there waiting to see who we draft, then I proceed in investigating the player and perceived impact he may make. I will have STEELERNATION.COM at the ready as that is truly where to get the “KNOW”.

DIC the fact that Milroe has been invited (and accepted said invitation) to the green room for Day 1 of the Draft has me a bit worried.

You don’t get the invite unless Goodell has obtained some info that someone is interested.

Outside of the Steelers at 21 who else could it be?

Good lawd I hope not us. Gonna have to do a little digging and see who he has done top 30 visits with.

As far as the structure of the day: Zacapa and a lot of it, some Peyote, some dank, a bacon sandwich or two and me and my bass guitar watching with it on mute

I listened to a whole different take on Milroe yesterday. They guy stressed he wouldn't take him in rd1, but if the Steelers could maneuver around and get him in rd2. Hs take in watching Milroe tape is that if he could iron out the kinks in his game he could be the answer. It'll take some time, but the ability is there. Idk. All I know is I don't know shiit, so I like listening to different opinions.

I miss Josh Dobbs and Duck Hodges
 
In 2023 we had top 30 visits with 4 of the 7 players we drafted (top 4 picks). In 2024 we had top 30 visits with 6 of the 7 players we drafted and 1 with an UDFA we grabbed. Our top 30 visits should give us a pretty good idea of who we'll see.

As for my plans for the draft? Depends on how my pain meds/anesthesia is, as I will be having my shoulder surgery that day! Hooray for draft plans! :ROFLMAO:
 
I'm not watching a lick of it. My son is a HUGE draft guy, so I'll wait for his text messages to come rolling in.

In terms of food, whatever is on the menu that day. Nothing special.
 
I will be watching and coming on here to see everyone's reaction. I truly hope they pass on a QB in the 1st and get either Harmon, Grant, or Nolen. However, my gut is telling me they are taking a QB either at 21 or moving up for either Sanders or even Dart.
 
I would love Grant, Harmon, or Nolen... but if they stick to the top 30 visits, none of them have been in Pittsburgh. Last year the last visits they had were 9 days before the draft. So there is still time... BUT there's also the fact that Milroe has not been in for a visit.
 
How many visits are left, 10? There's chance they bring the big uglies

Visit or meetings/pro-day typically for a 1st round pick. If none of those, then they probably won't take them but even that isn't 100%.

True, it's not 100%, but the last two first round picks that weren't a top 30 visit were Edmunds and Bush, in back to back years at that. Najee, Pickett, Jones, Fautanu all were top 30 visits. As for pro-day visits, Tomlin and Khan missed Michigan's to visit with Rodgers, but Austin was there. Oregon, they sent an senior assistant scout. Tomlin and Khan have been to Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. I get they can't get to them all, but it's interesting to see who they choose to send who to.

As of right now, with my educated guess based on info that's out there, our first round pick will be... I have no idea. I didn't see either of the last two picks.

Do not be surprised if the Saints select Milroe at 1.9...

My little birdie is saying he'll most likely be a top 10 pick; but we shall see...

If that's where Milroe ends up, Sanders could actually fall to 21 like some are saying. Could be what the FO is hearing as well, and why they are bringing him in for a pre draft visit.
 
I won't watch it. I'll wait until morning and read about it here.

I'm afraid Tomlin will trade away a lot to move up in the first round for Sanders. Pedigree. Tomlin is the smartest man in the room. He thinks so.
