Welcome to Draft day 2025

Per usual, they moved Leal around and he hasn't progressed. They just resigned Loudermilk who is nothing more than a bench warmer on most teams but he sees a good bit of action for the Steelers. Hopefully, they can coach up Black so he can be our true NT.

And, hopefully, Harmon doesn't miss time once he has surgery. I am guessing they will want him to have surgery sooner rather than later. He can possibly play with his injury but it will effect him to some degree and it will require surgery to fully heal. I'd get him under the knife now and see if he can still play this year. I am not sure what kind of recovery time he is looking at.

I'm thinking next picks will be best available at DB, OL, WR. I can see them taking a TE if there's one they like. SMith's system is TE dependent. They can use another guy if there's somebody who can block on the board. Maybe they take a QB
They will take a QB.

So the main site had an article saying the steelers werent going qb till 6th or 7th... seems like they were right...

Honestly, before Wilson and Fields both dipped, this was what i thought they would do anyway
When there is an article covering basically every given scenario, one of them will eventually be correct.

For some reason, I remember the day three draft picks happening faster. It's taking forever to get to the Steelers picks each round.
I think they might have increased the time teams have to pick on day three. I thought it was three minutes, but it's now five minutes.

Just looked it up - always been 5 minutes for 5th and 6th round, but 10 years ago the 7th round was reduced to 4 minutes.

Yeah, typically most picks after round 4 used to be within like a minute... I guess maybe they are dragging out stuff for the tv end?
I think so. I watched some of day 2 in NFL Game Pass, and they were going to ads after almost every pick. I'm noticing on the ESPN online tracker there is considerable delay (several minutes) between "the pick is in" and telling us who the selection is.

They can use another big WR

Kaden Prather Wr Maryland - 6-4 runs 4.46 physical possession guy

Don't remember the first part, but I do remember the second.

Coach famously did not like the Troy Polamalu pick. He demanded the Steelers draft Ed Reed the year prior, no matter that he was picked by Baltimore BEFORE the Steelers were on the clock. With respect to Polamalu, Coach insisted that he was not really 5'11" since his head was so big it led to a "false" height measurement. :ROFLMAO:

No, I am not joking.

I didn't follow college guys as much then (still don't follow much now).

I do remember being worried about Troy's history of concussions when we drafted him.

Maybe my favorite Steeler. Among the greatest of all time to wear the uniform...although basically any honor with the Steelers is always "2nd after Mr. Joe Green".
