Amazing what happens when we use the middle of the field.

For the last few years, defenses did not have to defend the whole field vs the steelers. Stuff the box vs the run. Defend outside routes and deep.

Canada's offense didn't use the middle. In college, you have the wide side of field because of the hash marks so a big part of college is throwing to that wide side and let your WR beat their DB for easy yards. That doesn't work in the NFL unless you have a guy like AB.

Smith does use the middle but had to modify because WIlson is too short to see the middle. Smith has to be the happiest guy to be able to actually run his offense this year.

So we were down to our 3rd team in the 1st half. Ok. Still shouldn't he make plays?...what was the defense....still the 1st team? 2nd? Or 3rd?.,..
