Patrick Queen promises the Steelers problems against TEs will be fixed against the Colts: “It’s gonna be resolved. This week.”

Sure , sure.
They’ll stop the TE and let Jonathan Taylor romp for 140 yards instead.
I wish these guys would let their play on the field speak volumes instead of yapping away.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, the players just like the head coach.
Stfu and stop making excuses, stop bragging about being historic, stop talking period.
Go out and perform like you’re being paid to do.
Personally, the head coach, DC, and players don’t know how to fix the problems.
It’s like being in a canoe with holes everywhere and the boat taking on water. Keep trying to plug this hole and that hole but too many holes to plug.

How about the Steelers defense won't stop the TE and still lets Taylor romp for 140+ yards. I don't see why both won't happen 😟

We "gameplan" a week late. Against the Bengals we play man against the best WR duo and can't stop the run. Last week we kinda stopped the run, but played soft zone against inferior WRs and forgot to cover Kraft. The Colts have multiple threats so it could be ugly. Maybe Jones will run for 100.

So Wilson covers Warren with S help over the top from Ramsey and Holcomb plays ILB next to Wilson?

Is that the fix Queen is referring to?

Tomlin’s Tuesday press conference talked about change is coming. I don’t remember the wording of the question, one he would normally side step, but he directly answered it (something he normally diodn’t do in the past).

I think we will see a little change, but NOT the overnight fix we all want.

Salute the nation

Same as last week, our O will need to put up at least 30 to have a chance. Our 2 biggest weaknesses on D are against the run and covering TE's. Covering WR's isn't very good either. The Colts have one of the top 5 RB's and receiving TE's in the NFL right now. Are they going to change to zone coverage or something else?

P.S. Make this make sense. They used the 3 OLB's in the game at the same time last week, but they only had 1 DL. SMH!! Using 2 DL and 2 undersized OLB's as their only pass rushers never works so how will 1 DL and 3 undersized OLB's work any better? Their D was best the weeks they sent more 5-man rushes, and that is pretty much what they need to do, but not by making your porous run D even smaller.

Patrick Queen has been the green dot for the past couple of seasons. His best play was in Baltimore with Roquan Smith who was the green dot and set that defense. All Queen had to do was seek and destroy and was directed where Smith told him to go. Perhaps that is the weak 'communication' link on this defense and busted plays in the middle. To me, he's the most common variable. Maybe it's time to make Holcomb the green dot backer again and just rotate Queen and just let him play without over thinking.

Tucker Kraft just caught another 75 yard pass

Tomlin has instilled a myopic way of thinking that has filtered through his players. It's not as simple as we stop the run, we win. Or we protect the ball, we'll be OK. Or we gonna resolve the tight end problem this week.

The IF WE JUST FIX X, THEN WE DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT Y mindset is part of the reason that this defense is historic. Historically at their lowest ranking since 1988, that is.

Maybe we will quadruple cover Warren and not worry about covering anyone else. That would fix the TE problem
Warren would be held to 85 yards and 2 scores.

Queen isn't responsible
Tomlin cannot cover

You'd think having one of the best coverage LB's in the entire world(like Payton Wilson called himself) would've solved the TE issue!

He mieant he’s a better coverage LB than Jason Worilds…the best out of him vs Worilds

Check…so he’s better than an old man Jehova’s witness.

Got it Peyton! You may be right.
