Let us take a look at the Texans.

I see their D is equally good against the run and pass. So the Oline will have to live up to billing and that jumbo Oline package will be needed to to run effectively and set up play action passing.
The game shifted last night when Kyle Hamilton went down, and us finally throwing to the middle of the field to Pat. They have a top 3 player in Stingley Jr. who will make plays. Nico Collin’s is an excellent receiver. Ramsey had an absolute brutal game against the ravens. He had better get his **** together. Our OLine will be key here.

Another tidbit:
Our fierce D will obliterate the Texans O line!!!

AI is in error…the Steelers are 3 point underdogs

The League’s BEST defense will show out against the historic defense of Pittsburgh and show what a dominant D actually looks like.

The two offenses are both mid when they are clicking.

If the Steelers aren’t COMPLETELY MORONIC they go hurry up ALL game to lessen Houston’s advantage of that dominant defense. Keep em on the field, don’t let them utilize sub packages.

Alas we are not a smart team so I wouldn’t expect the hurry up until it’s too late.

So many things went the right way on both games. Hot streak

Texans are very good but team will rise to the challenge. They're hungry

I hear what you’re saying….we should be hungry too. We have done nothing of any consequence since 2010. Our veterans should be extremely hungry as this could be,and will be the last hurrah for some careers. It will be a tough task.

The Texans and the Chargers were their best chances to get a 1st round win. They play Monday night, so hopefully, anyone with bumps and bruises will be healthy with the extra day or two of rest.

My concern is that Houston is a top turnover defense... tomlin's O's pucker up vs those teams early and by the time they get going, they are in too big a hole
and Baltimore is not a good pass rushing team and Rodgers was under decent pressure, Houston is very good at pressuring the QB.

Yeah, Houstons d is good at everything... they are tge most dangerous Afc team by a margin... i was hoping for the Chargers, not Houston

Houston lost their first three games and finished 12-2, winning their last 9 games. Their worst loss was by 1 to 8-9 Tampa. Other losses:

at 12-5 Rams by 5
at 13-4 Jacksonville by 7
vs 14-3 Denver by 3
at 14-3 Seattle by 8

13th in scoring offense, 2nd in scoring defense.

This team is legit.

Doesn't really matter who they play, 7 or less is 69 straight.

The Strengths: Why the Steelers can win it all

  • The Return of T.J. Watt: After missing three games with a lung issue, his return last night "ignited" the team. He and Alex Highsmith (8.5 sacks) are the most dangerous edge-rushing duo in the playoffs.
  • Rodgers’ Experience: Even at 42, Aaron Rodgers has been surgical in high-pressure moments. He finished the season with 23 TDs and only 7 INTs, providing the "safe hands" this offense has lacked for years.
  • The "Ground and Pound" Duo: Jaylen Warren (892 yards) and Kenneth Gainwell (527 yards) give the Steelers a physical identity. They can eat clock, which will be vital to keep C.J. Stroud off the field next week.
  • Takeaway Kings: The defense ranks 3rd in the league for takeaways. Patrick Queen (119 tackles) and Brandin Echols have a knack for turning the momentum in the 4th quarter.

The Weaknesses: The "Red Flags" for Houston

  • The WR Depletion: This is the big one. D.K. Metcalf is suspended for the Wild Card game (altercation with a fan), and George Pickens is gone. Rodgers is left with Calvin Austin III and Pat Freiermuth as his primary targets.
  • Secondary Vulnerability: While they get picks, the secondary is ranked 29th in passing yards allowed. C.J. Stroud is likely licking his chops looking at the deep-ball opportunities.
  • Injuries at Tight End: Losing Darnell Washington (broken arm) hurts more than people think—he was essentially a sixth offensive lineman for the run game.
  • The "Slow Start" Trend: As we saw in the Cleveland loss and the first half last night, the offense often goes cold for 2–3 quarters. You can't do that against a Houston team that leads the league in scoring defense.

Can't trust AI, sorry. Crap in....crap out!

That is complete crap.

HOU
Danielle Hunter DE - 15 sacks
Will Anderson Jr. DE - 12 sacks

Let's at least be honest. While I want to ride this wave into the Divisional round, trust me I do, but there will be hurdles ahead. They corners that suck up INT's and Nico Collins is no joke, that kid can catch. You can't put Queen on Collins and expect to live another week.

^^^^^THIS^^^^^

This is the reality of the tomlin scheme, play not to lose. It puts to far into the hole or it allows them to climb out.

Keep the foot on the gas and make sure it's 50 / 50 aviation fuel / 95 octain combined........... Made my Yamaha Banshee win many races.

Salute the nation

Be careful here boys! Living here in NE Houston I’ve gotten to see this team develop and DeMeco Ryans has done an outstanding job.
This defense is loaded and they are some bad dudes who like to hit and hit hard.
Tomlin wants a rock fight, he got one.
CJ has had some injury issues but he’s playing better. The OL needs to be improved this off season and that could be a big plus for the Steeler defense.
CJ really misses Tank Dell this season and that’s been an issue for this offense.
Don’t go to sleep on this team though. This defense is intimidating and nasty.

I recorded the game last night because I wasn't able to watch it. I watched it today and I was impressed with several players and their desire to win. I was super happy for the players, but I was disappointed with Tomlin's kiss-blowing after the game. He's a megalomaniac just like the CEO's in large corporations that make millions per year. The little people can piss off...or at least that's the way I took it.

That said, I predict the Steelers to win this game. It's MNF and Rodgers might, or should have a say in the play calling.

The MNF winning streak vs. the playoff losing streak.

I've seen some analysts saying the Steelers quick passing game will negate the Texans pass rush, which is good.

The defense is elite in points, yards, and the Texans generally win the turnover battle. It's also a team that won 11 of 13 games (9 wins in a row) following an 0-3 start.

Houston has played in one-score games against the Colts and Raiders, two bad teams.
