Iran

Iran so far away.

Honestly though, besides Russia providing intel, I don’t think Iran has the capacity to prolong anything vs the US + Israel.

I’m never fond of war especially when it involves our own. Interesting how this week has turned out

just a refresher...

How far can Iran’s missiles reach?

In public statements and military reporting up to early 2026, Iran is widely assessed to have the largest ballistic missile arsenal in the Middle East. Most credible open sources describe its longest‑range declared systems as medium‑range ballistic missiles (MRBMs) with ranges around 2,000 km, which can reach Israel, much of the Arabian Peninsula, Turkey, and parts of southeastern Europe from Iranian territory.

Some analyses and military‑watcher discussions also note longer‑range cruise missiles, with estimates up to roughly 3,000 km, which would broaden coverage deeper into Europe, North Africa, and the Indian Ocean region. Older speculative reports and think‑tank papers have mentioned the possibility of future missiles with intercontinental‑range ambitions, but these are not known to be operational today and remain in the realm of projections or unconfirmed development.

Key examples (ranges approximate)

  • Shahab‑3: about 1,300 km.
  • Ghadr / Emad family: about 1,700–2,000 km.
  • Sejil (solid‑fuel MRBM): about 2,000 km.
  • Khorramshahr variants: roughly 2,000–3,000 km in some open‑source tables, though 2,000 km is the more commonly cited operational figure.
  • Longer‑range cruise missiles: some sources describe nuclear‑capable designs “up to 3,000 km”.

What that range means on the map

From central Iran, a 2,000 km range circle would typically include:

  • All of Israel, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and the Gulf states.
  • Much of Turkey and Egypt, and parts of southeastern Europe such as Greece or Bulgaria, depending on launch point and exact range.
A notional 3,000 km range would extend this further into central/eastern Europe and deeper into North and East Africa, again depending on where in Iran a missile is launched.

It has been an incredible first week in the Iran engagement. Much work is left, including the actual regime change to one that peacefully administers the resources of Iran for the benefit of its citizens and allies.

With a few notable exceptions like the American casualties, the collateral damage in Iran and neighboring countries, the success by the American forces and their Israeli partners has been most impressive, as noted by bothe the feeble resistance and the quietness of the Russians and the Chinese.

Only those that have experienced incel rejection would be familiar with that term. Or are you asking for a friend?

Be it as it may, they are your people. Embrace them.
OK. You’re just angry at them because you think they’re ugly. Sure, makes sense.

Trump wants interest rates lowered, if that happens, it’s likely to increase prices, not lower them.
oh good, I'm sure @Ron Burgundy has no goddamned sense about economy or economics, being a dim dumb illiterate *******.

this could be entertaining.

you dummy. Flog is never rejected on Train Night. Who else is going to play clean-up?
keep your bigotry out of this.

The division in this country is so fractured we will likely never recover, even 9-11 only lasted a few years, so I have little hope that those on the extreme edges of the political spectrum will ever agree on anything.
The flavor of the day is Iran, and while I agree that the loss of life in any military operation is tragic, where was the media when tens of thousands were being slaughtered by the Iranian regime in the past few months?

Jeffery Epstein was arrested almost 20 years ago and now the files associated with this man are suddenly a matter of critical importance. Where was the outrage 10 or 15 years ago?

Literally everything these days is political in nature and far too many are blind to that fact, unable or unwilling to see it any other way.

I get that some fights come to you, like Ukraine and Iran, but I'd rather he went wild on domestic policy.
I think he has a strategy to pull out of his sleeve at the last minute that Dems can't counter (lie about or obstruct). Him and Musk. The President in power rarely wins the mid-terms, but I get your take completely. I LOVE seeing a weaker China, which is a big result of all of this. He's playing the long game. I admire a guy that knows he may be dead when the fruits of his work make our economy stronger for the longterm, not just a year or two.

You really can't unite with something that would destroy everything just to get in power. They only want to destroy you.

It's literally like two ships going to opposite directions. The whole thing needs a reboot. If you just take two states, say California and Florida, we're so far apart we, may as well be two different countries.

Something has give. If we can't get some type of moral compass back as standard across this nation,we are absolutely doomed.

The way children are treated is the most telling sign of a collapsing society. They are pure and christ like. It's looking a lot like Rome. And if the muslims every get a solid stronghold here,it will be far worse.

It all points towards something that we will eventually have to fight our way out of. It's just a matter of time and erosion.

That's weird. Dems have been telling us Americans have no healthcare since long before Obama.

No Liberal brought this argument up when a dozen times we sent billions to Ukraine...

Waiting for the mental gymnastics response to this one. "Buh, buh, buh THAT'S different!"

As usual, Democrats don't understand that cost and price are not the same thing.
I don't waste a lot of time on Floggy, I don't know how you guys do it. I'd be bored to death.

Democrats right, Republicans wrong.
Democrats good, Republicans bad.
Orange Man especially bad.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

It would greatly help the Pubbies to stay in power if they'd pass the SAVE Act, which they seem reluctant to do.
It's like the late Jim Quinn and Rush Limbaugh used to say, the Establishment GOP is not comfortable being in a leadership position.
They'd rather have their comfy back bench seats and not have to do anything of substance.
