Covid Vaccine

Uh-huh, and we’re finding out about the shocking revelations on social media. Who’s being fooled?
From the guy posting doctors' recorded messages from TWITTER/X, that's pretty obtuse.
And, as always, you attack the delivery method rather than the information being delivered.
Just because FoxNews says water is wet, doesn't make it invalid nor untrue.
Is it possible for you to critically think for once in your life, make an actual effort, and attack the actual information being disseminated rather than messenger?

A question to which no answer is required.

We’ve been through this. Critical thinking isn’t what you think it is. Critical thinking is acknowledging that you’re not a doctor and you need to stay in your lane, NOT questioning something based on something you saw on social media.

You sound vaccinated. Vaccinated is PC for retarded.

Oh, and no offense to anyone not named Flog or Tibs.

Show me where I claimed to be a doctor.
Show me where I gave medical advice.

Go, Wonder Woman, go.
Deflect, deflect, deflect.
Pew, pew, pew.

But, but, but that's not what they said in 2021.
2021 things the only things that matters and are real and truthful.
Everything else is just social media lies.

@ZonaBurgh , what's your thoughts on the pneumonia vaccine? My doctor recommended it for anyone over 50. He's also recommending the Shingles vaccine. I went ahead took the pneumonia vaccine. My arm is screaming at me 24 hours later but I feel fine otherwise. Skipped the shingles vaccine because I wanted to wait until a better weekend to feel lousy.

My wife is still getting over pneumonia, probably from visiting the assisted living place just about everyday, but my immune system apparently fought it off because other than a cough that lasted about a week and feeling tired a couple days, it never took hold. Hoping these manufactured shots don't screw up an otherwise strong system.

Pneumovax and Shingrix I would recommend getting, I'm not anti-vax, just feel they should be used in an appropriate population.
Really, your arm is screaming? Is that you in your avatar?

Popped up in my FB Memories today. I live in Beaver County in the West where 90% of our cases and deaths were in one large 600 bed nursing home.

As a pharmacist for 20 years, that is one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard. Doctors make errors all the time. If you're not asking questions, then you are an idiot.

It was interesting, and very concerning how we never heard a word about consulting with your doctor about the shots. Just take them so you can go back to work, travel, go to the store, etc.. That was without a doubt the weirdest period of time. They just knocked the entire world off it's tracks. And for what?

For a power grab. During the scandemic, the world saw the largest transfer of money from the have nots to the already haves. It's a sign of things to come, and we are just ramping up. It will get worse.

I sure hope I'm on the Haves side. I don't think so though.

Oh, and let me guess - pFloggy still chastising anybody who harbors a single doubt about what the "experts" told us about the vax, and lambasting anybody not simply swallowing their every edict without hesitation? "yOuReE NoT A DoCkTeR!"

Sure thing. Then why do medicines have warning labels?? Your doctor prescribed the medicine, just shut up and take it, don't read warning labels! Warning labels are anti-science!

here's you some critical thinking, dipshit.

my doctor was concerned about my cholesterol level. He said it showed a historical increase over the past 4-5 years. he wanted me to take a statin. sure, tried it. didnt like the side effects. advised the doctor. the next visit, my level was at 260, so he prescribed Repatha. Tried that, didnt like it. Explained it to my doc. Told my doc I'd try to lower it naturally. he said it was unlikely that I could, but to try.

the next visit, my level was below 220. not just below, but well below.

why? because instead of accepting general reasons and most likely causes to high cholesterol and taking the newest and latest prescription, I took it to a micro level to see what I was specifically doing to cause a cholesterol increase. I made the adjustment, stuck to it and in the end, I was correct.

This isnt to say that doctors are 100% incorrect all the time, but to say that there are personal considerations that should also be taken into account. I could have kept on with the Repatha and paying for a prescription - or make a change in my diet and not need that.

i'm sure you'd stick with taking more and more medicine though.

Risks and benefits, risks and benefits. Read the package insert for an aspirin tablet and you might think twice, although the benefits for most outweigh the risks.
There is no such thing as a side effect free drug, and that includes any vaccine.

This seems topical.............
Just saw my PCP.
He said my blood pressure and cholesterol are more elevated than they should be, and that he has a consistent 5 years of data where he's now concerned and thinks action needs to be taken and no longer monitored.
He said, "Neither one of us like prescriptions if the problem can be solved naturally. So I'm giving you a 6 month reprieve."
Then he laid out lifestyle and nutrition changes I needed to make to lower both of these and keep them within normal range.
He did advise the cholesterol should be rather easy if I stick to the plan, but, my blood pressure may be hereditary and only medication will help.
And this is why I found and chose this particular doctor. He doesn't just get out the script pad first chance he gets.
All of my appointments with him are like being interrogated under the police lights. They're intense and he leaves no stone unturned. He wants as much input/data as possible to make the best recommendations for my healthcare.
I'm not a number and I'm not another means of additional income. He's brutally honest and doesn't sugarcoat anything.
Since I work for a healthcare system, and see/hear lots of things with our doctors, as well as having to deal with the "Company Line".
I ask him all the time about, "I heard this recently. Do you agree or disagree and why?"
And he will have an actual discussion with me and tell me where they're right or wrong and why.
And the best part about this doctor is that he gives me choices and options, and NEVER feels like he's demanding I do something or pressuring me to do something.
I asked him about the Shingles Vaccine since I'm plus 50 and had chickenpox as a child.
He broke down the possibilities for both getting the 2 doses or foregoing altogether.
Asked if I wanted it after our discussion or wanted to talk again at our 6 month appt.
Said I wanted to read some more about and then make a decision.
He gave me a list of things to read about it that would break everything down and give me both points of view.
Said I could ask any additional questions at the next appt. and go from there.
