These guys want to act like all 93 pages are form people like me being stupid and keeping the page total going with goofy posts...
I hate goofy posts, totally unacceptable for a message board like this. This place should be a zen temple of football wisdom, eerily still and quiet. Everyone should refrain from goofing off at all times. Only the strictest football talk should be allowed. Conversation should focus on - and be primarily about - what awful football players we have, and what awful football players we add in the draft. Moody and dark with a twist of pre-destined failure and corresponding hate and resentment < that is what I'm looking for when I log on here.

However..

if you're not high on the player's NFL prospects, or question his ability to be the first of his profile EVER to succeed.. then take 'em ***** elsewhere. This is Steeler Nation, where Jamain Stephens and Scott Shields still have promise and reside way, way up there, above mention but most importantly criticism.

Quite honestly, I was apart of the 'silly' crew, carrying the page length past the 65+ mark.
Be careful, Vader may get his hands on you...

Nah, you got it all wrong. I love all of you Debbie Downers, it's what makes the world go 'round...in this case, it's exactly what makes a board like this so entertaining.

Four in two years. That's a **** ton. As an upperclassman, the dude had 310 touches (including returns) and suffered four noteworthy injuries. And 500 touches isn't the huge number you seem to think it is. It's only 125 per year, or about 10 a game. In other words, he was a part-time player and part-time returner who still got injured every handful of games as an upperclassman.

And none were serious? One forced him out for the rest of a bowl game, and another caused him to miss all or part of four games as a senior. Someone should have told him how minor they were.

How would you categorize Ben in relation to his injuries ? Using Archer= **** ton. Just asking?

Ben should be dead by now.

another review pre-draft amazingly, it doesn't 100% mesh with The Idiotech of Oz's unparalleled assessment. surely the writer is a hack.

Oh Superman, those were posted many moons ago, and were categorically rejected by our resident draft experts as nothing but fluff... Archer is doomed to fail, nothing will change that. It'd be better for everyone involved if you'd just accept it and move on.

Actually, I don't think the second link's been posted. It's a great read with a ton of video links to specific plays highlighting his skill set. So sit tight buddy, the categorical rejection of this article will be forthcoming shortly...

Hey big dog #94, how do you feel about all the anti-Archer sentiment?

Ben is a very oft-injured player. He plays for the Steelers. Thus ends the short-lived Ben/Archer comparison.

I'm not afraid of a few injuries. Dom Easley was one of my favorite prospects and the dude tore both ACLs. But Ben is a HOF QB, so his injuries ding his scouting report less to me than Archer's. And if he'd entered the league with Archer's injury history, I'd have been worried.

"Dang"
No QUESTION, this is an extension post!!!!!

This past year, Archer had a bit of a down year as he badly injured his ankle on his first offensive series of the season. However, he is not known for being injury prone. With Archer's size, I think people tend to get too caught up in how short he is, similar to what was said about Austin last year. However, there are so many "short" and "undersized" players in the National Football League that I believe any analysis based upon that is fatally flawed.

Rookie third-round pick Dri Archer continues to practice returning punts despite not doing it all his final year at Kent State.

“I feel pretty good about it,” Archer said. “It's something I've been doing every day since I've been here, so I feel very comfortable with it.”

Someone should list all the players under 185 lbs and their injuries the last 5 years I'm too lazy but seems like a lot / most get injuried less that our franchise QB !!!

Four injuries in two years of part-time play, missed a bowl game with one and several games with another. That sounds injury-prone to me. I guess we could say Will Blackwell wasn't injury-prone if we wanted to write a "Will Blackwell was awesome" article.

FWIW, I posted a link earlier from the Kent State newspaper that questioned why he sat for so long with his ankle injury last year. So, file that with the other articles I guess.

I say we just drag the ************ out behind Heinz Field and shoot him in the head.
It's obvious this was a wasted pick since Idioteque doesn't flog himself over it.

Maybe Queefiotque could petition the Rog to allow us a do-over so we could take one of his Great 10 instead? Yeah, maybe we can get that arranged. Yeah. Wooo. Solution, baby!

If you people let this thing die before the magic number I will hold each and every one of you responsible.

You could be tagged a nut case for this comment. Holding someone responsible. Get real, Archer is the ONLY responsible one there is. He will be solely responsible, if we win the Super Bowl, then again, he'll also be solely responsible, if we don't.
