Ben to IR, out for season

I'm so sad that Ben is out probably for good and those two ***** wrecked his last couple of seasons.

Thanks for everything Ben, we'll miss you.

It's a damn shame. We are now the Bengals, Browns, Dolphins, Cardinals, Jets, etc. It's gonna suck in the basement.

Fire Tomlin now, give us some hope.

He should of been pulled immediately when he started grabbing his elbow. Look at the game thread. I said it then. Get Ben out of the game. Yet they continued to play him.

If it further damaged his elbow, there is absolutely no excuse, heads should roll.

The damage was already there. His elbow was sore during the week leading into the game.

I'm being serious with this question.....

What IF Mason balls out the rest of the season?
I'm not talking about our team's record, us making the playoffs, stats, etc.
STRICTLY how Mason looks reading Ds, throwing balls, pocket presence, etc.?
What happens this off-season if Mason looks and plays the part?
Yeah, it'd be a nice "problem" to have, but it's going to be a weird QB situation.

Hate it for Ben but excited to see Randolph

After 1 QTR next week, I’m guessing your excitement will not be there but enjoy.

UCL injuries usually occur slowly over time as the ligament usually slowly tears until it finally gives way.

Guys get stingers and bumps and **** all the time and they shake it or rub it and then play on. I don't know what the issue with his elbow is, but I do fear UCL tear. When it happened to my son, it hurt..felt something pop, but he wanted to 'shake it off' and get back to working on the hill. Until the player says it is something more significant there isn't a lot of evidence for the coaches and doctor to make a decision upon.

This team wasn't going anywhere with this years injured version of Ben and with Tomlin so at least we can lose and see a young QB's progression.

Not disputing your disgust but there where people here questioning the coach's decision to put Ben back in the game last year in Oakland...you can't have it both ways, if Ben didn't pull himself NO ONE could have the foresight to know exactly what was wrong until he decided to come off the field.

Typical...

For all of who remember Terry Bradshaw's last game vs Jets in 1983 this brings back bad memories. TB came off the bench vs Jets in 1983 to toss 2 TDs leading our Steelers to a victory over the Jets and securing a playoff spot. He never played again but I remember seeing him in pain on the sidelines. If Ben never plays for the Steelers again all I gotta say is thanks for the memories. You were truly one of the Greatest Steelers of All-Time. See you in Canton!

WHAT IS it that you get out of posting this? Aggrevate people? I don't understand your negative hard core **** you posts...

It is what it is.

People have been spoiled for so long with our superstar players and trashed them and bad mouthed them out of town then said this team would be better with less talent

**** all the Tomlin apologist *******, **** all the front office apologists for gutting the team

I like Mason, he can be the kid to bring some excitement back to a depleted offense, this season is his now

If it is/was his UCL, he wasn't going to make it any better by coming out of the game. Once it starts to tear, the damage is done, and it is a matter of time until you either have surgery or the ligament totally tears and you have surgery. No amount of rest will heal the ligament. For him to grab the elbow as fast as he did after releasing the ball, it was already partially torn. There is a reason he had no ice on his elbow while standing on the sideline.

Someone said he read a tweet that his **** was inflamed bf the NE game

I wouldn't doubt it. This didn't creep up this week. This occurred over a prolonged period of time. Too many 5 WIDE ******* for Ben.

Eerily similar to the end of Bradshaw

I'm just asking - was Coach Noll blamed for allowing Bradshaw to continue to play? From what I've read, TB took cortisone shots to play thru the pain, which, ultimately ended his career because it really did more damage by playing w/ the injury.

This really is a terrible day...

Let's go play the 9ers and see how Mason looks before jumping to conclusions.

I can’t accept Ben going out like that. I really hope he comes back, he deserves to go out better than that.

Can I alter my season prediction?
