Just hearsay from another board, but this guy was taking care of his wife and daughter, both have the wuhan flu, and he hasn't contracted it...he happens to be on plaquenil.

And I too hate the Eagles.

It could have been. My personal take is, this is a forum. We type. Nuance of face to face communication is lost in this forum. Sarcasm is harder to detect.

Even if a joke, no one on here should wish death upon others' family members. If we give a pass to anyone for saying such stuff because "he may have been joking" then the door is open for all of us to say the most heinous things and write it off as "I was joking!"

I'm not trying to be the PC police, but again I'll say, if I said to someone else "Hey, don't agree with me, I hope your son sucks a glock and dies" I'd receive well-due backlash and be banned for it. Rightfully.

We get pretty vile here at times. We personally insult. I just believe this is a line we should adhere to.

That was more offensive to me than Spike's dark humor.

I can see it now, how many scratchers and meff can I get fro 1000$. I'm buying bullets. I've already lost thousands of rounds in multiple boating accidents.
 
So what's up with this malaria drug? My wife called me and said it seems to be doing a good job against this new commie respiratory virus.

Perhaps he was warned, I'm not a mod and I don't know.

I read Spike differently and this is all a matter of taste. He has this issue with being "right." Gets bent out of shape if someone posts something in a thread he posted elsewhere. Fancies himself a prognosticator. And he's predicted the end of the world, jokingly or not. As people in this thread disagreed with him, he became more insistent, and began pushing back against anyone urging caution or suggesting this may not end up being that serious. Personally, I think he went too far wishing death (jokingly or not) on those who disagreed with him. I guess the mods agreed.

You're more than welcome to disagree, as you have.
 
I am under quarantine. Friend of my wife took ill, had to be tested. I was around said friend all weekend. My work sent me home pending the results of that test. House arrest for 3-4 days. Yay.
 
So let me say this... no bailouts for non essential companies... casinos, liquor distillers, tourist traps... uhuh... sorry, wave taxes and offer 0% loans for a few years, fine... but no taxpayer dollars for that nonsense...
 
I invited spike down to stay with us in the Florida Keys with my sister in laws sister and I at her bosses vacation home for a weekend when we went to the 2006 NASCAR race.
He was a classy nice guy all around.
But lately he’s seems like a totally different dude.
Not sure what’s going on

Yes it is. There have been tons of "suck on a glock", "eat a dick with aids on the tip" and worse types of comments here over the years. Maybe less recently.

And Spike has been over top lately.

I just do not agree with banning a long time supporter because he is over top at a time of global panic. If it doesn't suit your taste, then ignore, move on.

More chill, less new rules.

as the originator of the "Suck a Glock" phrase on this board, I find it offensive that my beautifully coined phrase would be sullied by such a tragic mess. That phrase was intended for Hank the Tank, used then and only then. And for good reason.

Spike was getting more and more bizarre. His posts were increasingly outlandish and hopefully when he comes back he'll have turned his **** down some.

We don't need the panic. Nor do we need to be calling for the deaths of other board members' families. His "dark humor" wasn't "dark humor".

I was saying I hope we're not going to attempt to bail out the cruise industry. I'm guessing no amount of money is going to save it.

I feel your pain. My girlfriend's kids (20 and 16) are here and every ************* door in the house has been opened every five ******* minutes, then shut, then opened again. Mix and repeat every (seemingly) 10 seconds. Along with the noise from them laughing/screaming at whichever game they're playing, then opening/shutting every ******* door in the house every five ******* minutes, i'm about to lose my ****.

My office was told we are to work from home this week, and possibly next. Likely will be WFH next week.

I've never wanted to go TO the office so ******* badly.
