Didn't cuss you out, called this thread a '******* thread.' And sorry if I overreacted to your post, it's all I get from the likes of Tim and others, 24/7, years on end. I've gone out of my way past few days to completely ignore Trump and focus on the virus and its impact. And for that I'm accused of 'having an agenda' and 'fear-mongering.' So yeah, I'm a little thin-skinned myself around here, sorry.

You miss the point. 97% of your posts in this thread are either to ridicule the current leadership OR to post "anecdotal" videos/clips/stories about "how bad it is."
Now I may have missed this, but I don't recall you posting about both sides. I do believe I have. For instance, I've said I'm afraid being an at risk member of society being an asthmatic. I've posted some doom and gloom stuff. I've posted numbers. I've ALSO posted analysis from those who think the numbers are being blown out of proportion to spread fear, like the Standford Professor and my link a few pages back that is a THOROUGH analysis of real numbers. I've questioned the media, rightfully. While at the same time, I'm sequestering my family and they hate me for it but I'm following the words of our government.
Yeah, I'm all over the map but trying to contribute positively to the discussion. Trying to bring some sense to a nonsensical situation. Trying to figure out, like so many here, what is truth and what is fiction. I'm all over the map with positive and negative contributions. In the end, I think it's balanced.
You, as others have duly pointed out, are either posting the sensational, fear mongering OR you post to criticize the President you so loathe.
Try posting some stories about promising vaccine trials. Try looking at the numbers objectively and once in a while saying something like "maybe this won't be as bad as we think."
Try a little hope. You don't show it.

I didn’t say you cussed me out. I said you cussed me, which is a redneck way of saying cussed at me. I don’t too often cuss at other posters. Pretty rare. I was simply using facts and figures to show that at this point in time it is a small portion of the population that is infected. The rest was elbow to the rib sarcasm. My bad Sarge, I cuss too frequently, didn't mean it as a personal attack. You and I go way back, and you know I have a lot of respect for you, as I always have.
Anyway, you guys don't need my updates and input in this thread, just like you don't need my political opinions. I live on the other side of the planet, what do I know about anything happening stateside. The information is readily available, everyone can draw their own conclusions. I do hope things are handled better in the States and a situation like Italy can be avoided. Wishing you and yours good health and to stay safe.

But, like Magic with HIV, one could not have picked a better face than Tom Hanks to bring the crisis home to the set of the American public at greater risk from Corona Typewriter Virus. Would be interesting if we could post actual cases of folks we know and some background/outcome. Personally, I don't know anyone who has it. We are feeling the effects though as my wife was laid off from her dental office and we will probably have to sell our home

we can throw the case count out the window. New York announced yesterday they aren’t testing people unless they are hospitalized, so whatever their new cases are you can likely multiply that by 20. Soon they could have tens of thousands of new cases not being documented. We’ll have to wait until this is over for the epidemiologists to back into a number.
