Everyone can blame Ben, Randy, or whoever,

all true, my biggest ***** was last night, Buffalo clearly made an adjustment on offense late 2nd quarter, even with the pick six it was only 9-7 at halftime, we made no adjustment to what they did, and they went right down the field after halftime.
I hated the tail between the legs before halftime with time on the clock and time outs available. But yeah it did look like only one team made favorable adjustments.

This right here should shut up the, "Ben is running the offense" crowd, if that were true, he'd be trying to move the ball there, no doubt.
Two weeks in a row the opposing offense made adjustments at halftime and killed us in the 2nd half.

Three games in 12 days does not help matters

That is nothing more than an excuse. Teams play 3 games in 12 days all the time in the NFL. If you play Sunday, Sunday, and then Thursday you have played 3 games in 11 days. It is not some great anomaly or unusual.

Tomlin made adjustments against Cincy, but it was nine years ago.

True but in this case they were jerking the Steelers more than a two dollar hooker. You play this day nono this day.Rinse repeat. That easily can factor in on preparations.

For goodness sake, we are still 11-2 and have clinched a playoff spot.

We have a boatload of injuries. Our linebacking corp has been decimated.

I am amazed that Big Ben at 38 is still playing strong despite the serious arm injury.

The serious contenders are playing stronger now but have ANY of them faced what the Steelers have faced the last few weeks and all season for that matter?

The debacle with the Titans?

The HORRIBLE decision by the NFL about the Ravens game?

Loss of key players?

Look we are hurting right now and if the playoffs were to start next week we would be an underdog to any other contender and rightfully so.

However, I have hope that with the tough games ahead, INCLUDING Cincy (they are a rival that gives us fits) we can prevail.

Indy is always tough.

Cleveland wants revenge and is really peaking.

Remember that the Steelers were not picked to win the division and at most would be a wild card team and that was before the injury bug.

We need to hunker down this week and try to figure out how to eek out a win next week.

Finally, Someone spitting truth. Thank you for showing cognitive reasoning instead of emotional fits.

and it was the first time in history, a team had 4 days between games, and had to play a team with at least 10 days off.

The imperfect storm is what I call this mess we've gotten into with this football team.
A) Injuries have been mounting up the last month and you can only do so much patchwork.
B) OL has gotten old and now add injuries into the factor. Would be nice to have Stefan Wisnewski. Nice move Tomlin.
C) Tomlin is not and has never been a student of the game.He does not make adjustments and is not an x and o type of coach. What did he say at halftime last night, we don't make adjustments. We have a gameplay and it's up to the players to execute it. Thats says it all.
D) Offensive gameplay is horrible. Absolutely zero run game. No intermediate passing game, poor execution when they go deep. Ben never goes under center therefore there goes any play action passes, Everything is from the shotgun. So the offense has been relegated to the short passing game which defenses have figured out how to defend by keeping their linebackers tight.
E) Dropped passes continue to destroy drives and three more last night killed two first downs.
F) Where is Derek Watt! So we signed him to a three year contract for SP's? I knew it when they signed him he wouldn't play.
G) Tomlin is and has always been an average coach and if this collapse continues that will be three straight years of collapse under Captain Obvious.
H) We saw a coach make adjustments prior to halftime to combat the Steeler rush by having Allen not drop deep and get rid of the ball quicker to his receivers. Then they exploited the lack of coverage on Diggs and he ate their lunch. Tomlin, well he made zero adjustments.

On a side note. Did anyone notice in the first half when Allen's arm was hit and the ball squirted out and it was called an incomplete pass? That was a fumble after watching it on replay and Tomlin was asleep at the wheel.
Then you have **** like JuJu dancing on the Bills emblem before the game which gave the Bills added incentive, then post game Ebum interfering with Josh Allen's interview. Ya, Tomlin has discipline with this team. The problem starts and ends with Tomlin.

I hate the no adjustments stuff. None of us have the slightest idea about what goes on in the locker room at half.

Is it adjustments, or is it just playing better? Or worse, depending on which way it goes.

Bills head coach even said they needed to make adjustments at half. Tomlin says they need to make plays... that’s all I need to hear.

So, the Bills just had to make adjustments, they didn't have to also make plays?

The adjustments the Bills and WFT made against lead to them making plays... They deleted Cam after the half and got Diggs open. We continued to throw **** at the wall. What changes did you see that we made, schematically, in either game?

Well yeah but they made adjustments... Tomlin does the same thing over and over with the same results. You don’t see the difference?

Adjustments put them in position to make plays. Tomlin just hopes we can make plays despite his ****** caching.

1. Ben's Knee
2. OL pass blocking ineptitude
3. OC Play calling
4. ILB/OL injuries
5. DJ/Ebron drops
6. Injury to K
7. Ray Ray forgetting how to return kicks
8. Coverage teams allowing 30-40yd returns constitantly

Take your pick.
Where's the run blocking futility?

I just think adjustments is the most overused term in football...I think it is more one team just starts playing better. Who is to say, in the Bills locker room, Diggs comes over and says, "Yo, I've been open." Could be that simple. Is that an adjustment?

It just used as a way to hammer the coach, when none of us, me included, have any idea what goes on in there at half. It's all speculation.

Look, I think Tomlin is a good coach, but I question some things, too. However, I do wonder if some of the things we see are "have toos" if that makes sense. I have read of here that the OL has gotten old and can't do things anymore. And that thought may be right. But, God forbid, someone says the same thing about the 38 year old QB, he has become old and can't do things, people get their skirts in a bunch.

Maybe the players they are rolling out there can't do the things required to make these adjustments everyone seems to want.

No, Even in HS ball where 70-80% of the players play both ways, the coordinators are gathering players and making adjustments in-game. Half time is just another session to re-group as a team first, then quick breakouts for coaches to get feedback from players and to communicate adjustments. Hell I've done this coaching youth and HS ball. As an Offensive Coordinator I would read the opposing defense and call the plays, I never watched what my offense was doing, I see enough of them during the week in practice and I need to trust that I prepared them correctly. I'll see them on film and make adjustments during the week. Play calls are to create a numbers mismatch and exploit defensive weaknesses. I'll install audibles and a few plays for the week to exploit some things i see watching film. What I see out Fichtner is the same old tired playbook week after week and no adjustments. Hell, I would of killed to have iPads on the sidelines for my players to watch the looks and schemes during the games. I had to draw them out on a white board. The Steelers need to get much, much, better at adjusting on all fronts.

It's not that simple, we were getting pressure on Allen almost the entire first half, then they went to more of a max protect and started to have some success late first half, then continued that same thing in the 2nd half along with quick throws.

Redskins weren't doing anything, they came out second half, started running deeper routes so they could clear out the underneath stuff for their RB's.
