A sliver of hope, Austria is implementing mandatory vaccinations nationwide, beginning of next year. Seems they've had enough of the cat & mouse game.

This **** is veering out of control here in Europe, yet again. Particularly Central Europe. Like ******* Groundhog Day. Cases skyrocketing, chunk of the population wearing tinfoil hats spewing conspiracies, refusing to get vaccinated. Boom! Austria just went to a full, two-week lockdown. Everything shut down, stores, bars, restaurants closed. Slovakia just announced the same. They too are going to a full, two-week lockdown, everything shut down. Here in Hungary, it's back up to 10k+ new cases a day. Mandatory facemasks at all indoor premises, including public transport, stores, bars & cafes. Since this government mimics whatever Austria's doing, we're presuming a newer shutdown is around the corner. Which is gonna suck mightily for Christmas holidays and businesses. Seems like it's never going to end. Each round, same ****. Numbers go up, then down, then back up, then down. Wave after wave after wave. I pray this doesn't hit the States after Thanksgiving. If you guys stateside are heading in this same direction, brace for the worse. Stay safe, folks.

A friend of mine and his wife, both vaccinated and boosted, came down with Covid about two weeks ago. She got so bad she was admitted to the hospital and was saved with monoclonal antibodies. She said the next day, she felt fine besides congestion. Still ca t taste anything, but other than that, back to normal three days post treatment.

Both merck and pfizer took the ages old formula for ivermectin and remastered(changed something minor and slapped a new label on it) it into a covid pill
Now instead of just sending people home with symptomatic covid to wAit and see if they develop hospitalization worthy symptoms in a few days, they can give out pills to preemptively fight it
Now lets aslo remember that the most esteemed er doctors have sued to use ivermectin here… since the cost is 2 dollars a pill instead of 500…. Which is the actual sum they are charging… but either way the American process of letting people get sicker before treating them will end…

Olaf Scholz, Germany’s chancellor-designate, said Wednesday that the Covid situation was serious and that the country would massively push its vaccination campaign, noting that “vaccination is the way out of this pandemic.”
Scholz said Germany “should make vaccination compulsory for certain groups,” without stating which groups, while new Finance Minister Christian Lindner stated that Germans should avoid all unnecessary contact this winter “to preserve all of our health in this pandemic.”
The country’s outgoing health minister, Jens Spahn, issued a dire warning to Germans this week, saying that by the end of winter “pretty much everyone in Germany will be vaccinated, recovered or dead.”

The Vienna rally was organized by the far-right Freedom Party, the third biggest political party in Austria, which experts say has used the pandemic to further its anti-establishment credentials and re-establish public support after a high-profile scandal.
“STOPP Impffaschismus,” (stop vaccine fascism) one sign in Vienna read. “Kontrolliert die Grenze, nicht euer volk,” (control the border, not your people) another said — just some of the slogans mixing vaccine skepticism with right-wing ideology.
At least one “Q” sign was on display in Vienna, signaling support for QAnon, the outlandish conspiracy theory associated with some supporters of former President Donald Trump and some participants in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
Similar protests and signs could be seen in Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany and Croatia.
Freedom Party Chairman Herbert Kickl has championed the anti-vaccine movement in Austria. Kickl himself tested positive for Covid in the days before Saturday’s rally, forcing him to stay home.
“He has politically mobilized against the Covid-19 vaccines,” said Katharina T. Paul, an expert on vaccine hesitancy at the University of Vienna. “He has disseminated misinformation, to put it mildly.”
