Odd. The CDC's definition of vaccines used to say "prevent" spread. Then...they...changed it.
We've posted the data before. The 3 vaccines in the US have dropped regarding spread to 60-some percent, 50-some percent, and THREE percent. You've chosen to ignore that data. Of course.

Meanwhile, those heavily vaccinated states are admitting more and more people to hospitals at increasing rates.

“Tyranny” is not really the first word that comes to mind when you think of Australia. But the current government of Australia seems to be on the road to an oppressive kind of tyranny as it enforces severe COVID restrictions on its population.
Australia is being rather extreme with its COVID-19 regulations, some of which reportedly include fencing people into quarantine camps. Earlier this week, the BBC reported that three people broke out of Howard Springs, a main quarantine facility in Australia’s Northern Territory.
The three escapees literally scaled a fence to get out of the facility, according to police, but then law enforcement took up a manhunt and arrested them. They had all tested negative for COVID the day before.
Following the shocking report, several locals and people with knowledge of the camps are speaking out about how restrictive and extreme the situation is.
Haley Hodgson is a 26-year-old, and her account of what it’s like inside one of the quarantine camps has received much attention on social media.
She first posted a video from inside the camp on Twitter, showing the workers who were telling her the rules of the facility and giving her a warning to not leave her balcony.
The facility workers captured on video said it didn’t matter how she felt about the policies within the camp — it was the law.
“When it makes no sense, or doesn’t seem right to you, that is the line, and that’s what the law is, and that’s how it goes,” the quarantine camp officials said in the video posted to Twitter.
Hodgson talked to online magazine UnHerd to give an inside look at what it is like to be forced to go to one of the quarantine camps, even though she said she did not have the virus.

Why this breakdown is more honest is that probably the highest Comorbidity fatality group is cancer patients with depleted immune systems. These and other immune compromised people can’t get the vaccine and are very likely to be hospitalized or die if they do… tracking that group separately from tge unvaccinated who simply choose to not be vaccinated is really important to understanding the impact of that choice
The other thing is for a long time young people were not eligible for the vaccine yet were counted in the numbers of unvaccinated in regards to the total vaccinated numbers… this should always have been tracked separately to understand the numbers of people who have gotten vaccinated and were eligible….
The other thing that is shady at best is the idea that those without a booster are suddenly lumped back in the unvaccinated group… that leads to shuffling data in a way that compromises it

The most-vaccinated big counties in America are beating the worst of the coronavirus
Much has been made of the gap between more-vaccinated and less-vaccinated states or red counties and blue counties. The difference is even starker in big counties with overwhelming adoption of the vaccines.
About 1 in 420 Americans has died of covid-19, according to official data. And we’re still averaging more than 1,000 deaths per day.
But in certain areas — and indeed in many areas in which the population is much more tightly packed and the coronavirus could transmit more easily — the story is far less grim. A big reason: widespread vaccination. Death rates are far below the national average in the most-vaccinated, often-urban areas.
Much has been written about the yawning gap in outcomes between less-vaccinated and more-vaccinated areas, especially as deaths in less-vaccinated, red states significantly and increasingly outpace more-vaccinated, blue states. The Washington Post’s Philip Bump also reported this week that deaths in red counties are more than 50 percent higher than in blue counties.
But even that might undersell just how beneficial vaccination is in preventing the worst that the coronavirus has to offer — particularly when adopted on a grand scale in a given area.
From the start of the vaccination effort, a pertinent question has been when we might achieve something amounting to “herd immunity,” i.e. having enough people vaccinated to stomp out the virus. Guesstimates often pegged that number at 70 percent or above. That concept has proven elusive, particularly as the delta variant has rendered the vaccines less effective at preventing the spread — while still extremely effective at preventing hospitalizations and deaths.
But those latter metrics remain hugely important. And in the densely populated areas in which we’ve approached overwhelming adoption of the vaccines, the death rates are often a fraction of the national average — a significantly greater gap than between the most-vaccinated and least-vaccinated states.
