It’s not about the monstrosity of a ballroom. It’s the corruption of the executive branch of the government that pursues a Russian style oligarchy.

Simple fact is that the White House does not have the space to host large events and frequently they have to rent large tents and portable heaters and A/C or hold events at hotels.
 
If the artists rendering is even moderately accurate it’s pretty ugly. And 90,000 square feet seems like overkill. They’re using private money for it, I’ll never set foot in it, and I wasn’t worked up when Obama built an indoor basketball court so I’m not sure why I should get all wrapped around the axle about this. Presidents and politicians live a privileged life that I’ll never enjoy. I accept that and just try to do my best every day for the people I care about.

I think the idea and construction of a formal event center is long past due for the White House.
My only fear is that one day several years down the road....that the Dems will hold Democratic Socialist
Party events there with party leaders that are Islamic jihadists sympathizers in attendance.
Country's in trouble men....this needs extreme attention, and the country's young people need informed and educated immediately.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. budget deficit shrank by $41 billion to $1.775 trillion in the 2025 fiscal year, despite a $118 billion increase in revenues from President Donald Trump's tariffs, the Treasury Department reported on Thursday.

The results for the year ended September 30, which include nearly nine months of Trump's second term in the White House, compared to a $1.817 trillion deficit in fiscal 2024. It was the first time the annual deficit had fallen since 2022, when the unwinding of COVID-19 relief programs brought spending down.

The smaller deficit was aided by a record $195 billion in net customs receipts for the fiscal year, an increase of $118 billion from the prior year as new Trump tariffs rolled in.

Customs receipts in September reached a new record high of $29.7 billion, but the pace of increase slowed from August, when $29.5 billion was collected.

Total receipts for fiscal 2025 were a record $5.235 trillion, up $317 billion, or 6%, from the $4.918 trillion in fiscal 2024.

Fiscal 2025 outlays also were a record at $7.01 trillion, up $275 billion, or 4%, from the $6.735 trillion in the prior fiscal year.

Imagine the majority of able bodied Americans depending on their own skills to build generational prosperity, wealth, a feeling of self worth, goodwill and casting off the shackles of government fiefdom..... It'll all be up for the govt lackeys....
