Bengals get him straight up for the 10th overall pick. This is a great move for Cincy. Lawrence is better than any player they could get at 10. If he was in this draft, he'd go #2 overall.

I think it is an equally good move for the Giants, who need to rebuild. Seems like this relationship couldn’t be mended.

Good move, this is what you do in Win Now mode. How does everyone feel about Spencer Anderson and Brod Jones now?

Draft Vega.

A team that hates to pay guys just gave up the 10th overall for a guy they have to pay that is pushing 30…

Well done Bungles, I don’t see how this could possibly go wrong… heeheehee

If they get 2-3 years of top play out of him it's worth it. Burrow is pushing 30, too. They want to win now.

The Steelers just paid two WR pushing 30 %50M+ and they don't have a franchise QB.

I get it but that high up in the draft they should be able to get a stud. Plenty of positions that produce right away. Tells me that they don’t trust their scouting department and or they have a delusional thought that they are a player away from something special. I would debate they aren’t.

If Lawrence plays to his talent, this will be a good deal for the Bengals. They just weren't going to find a player that good in this particular draft to match the window they're working with. Instant upgrade for the run defense and he's one of the better interior pass rushers in the league. As long as the offense stays healthy, this team will be the favorites in the AFCN.

I still think the Steelers minus QB had the better offseason. Not sure how their spotty OLine will help Joe stay afloat. As far as the favorite the Steelers usually just aren’t. But I expect by game 1 our team is going to be looking pretty attractive.

Wow, the 10th overall pick (Caleb Downs) for Dexter Lawrence, who wants 30 million a year. I know he is a DT, but why not give Hendrickson the money and draft Downs? Big risk.

Maybe some of these guys ( Hendrickson) just want to get out of Bungleland. If they have another crap season I’m sure Joe B will want out as well. It’s probably not that much different than TJ. He’s had a couple off peak seasons now,at that age of 31,yet they paid him big bucks. Would you guys have traded TJ for a 10th?

The bengals are preparing to attack our weak o-line. We have to consider them our #1 threat to win the division. They are serious and should not be taken lightly.
Playoffs???
(Insert meme)

By statistics our Oline wasn’t weak. I know we are down one G. But they brought in Brock to pair with Anderson. I presume the will draft a G high too. Knowing Andy I count on it.

He received an extension from the bungles

Per PFT

1. Lawrence receives a $10 million roster bonus on the day of execution of the deal.

2. 2026 base salary: $11 million.

3. 2026 per game active roster bonuses: $1 million total.

4. 2027 option bonus: $8.25 million, to be exercised between the first and tenth day of the 2027 league year.

5. 2027 base salary: $15.5 million.

6. 2027 per-game active roster bonuses: $1 million total.

7. 2027 workout bonus: $250,000.

8. 2028 base salary: $21.75 million.

9. 2028 per-gamer active roster bonuses: $1 million total.

10. 2028 workout bonus: $250,000.

In all, it’s a three-year, $70 million deal with $42 million leftover and $28 million in new money.

Cool, does he play Oline or QB? Because Burrow is gonna die one of these years and Flacco aint far behind him if they dont protect him...

I hear Joe is considering changing to RB as in running for his life.

There are three highly regarded edges in the top 5. They are not all going before 10. Dumb trade.
My bad thought he was edge.

The Steelers off-season signings and moves, didn't disrupt my original mock draft much at all ... however the Bengals trading for Dexter Lawrence might have just done that and is making me rethink my first and possibly second round selections I've made previously...

Dexter Lawrence is a beast inside and one would have to wonder if that now changes or cement the Steelers priority of selecting an offensive guard in the first round ?
Or possibly someone like Proctor out of Alabama that can play both guard and tackle ?

Hmmm Haww?
🤔

This wreaks of them making one last push with Burrow the next couple years and then they probably move to a younger cheaper QB if they can’t get something done:

This is a window closing move on the Burrow-Chase-Higgins pricey trifecta those cheapskates are paying.
