1975 AFC Championship Game.

I 100% forgot that onsides kick at the end of the game!! Flags and ejections.......

I wonder how many flags this game would get today?

I don't know to be honest. The Atkinson hit on Swann for sure. They hit hard, but they did it the right way for the most part, because they practiced it. The didn't celebrate every hit, like even when it comes 8 yards down the field on 1st down like today. They didn't celebrate every 1st down. All that ramps up the edge, which I think causes some of the bad hits.

That clothesline on Swann was brutal. I believe this was the game Chuck Noll called Oakland the criminal element afterward and they ended up sued in court over it.

Those teams ******* hated each other. I forgot how much I used to hate Madden and his big ******* mouth.

That Rivalry was a HUIGE one back then. I don’t remember but I think 6 or 7 SBs were attended by one of these two teams of the 70s.

Madden was a BIG mouth back then as well. The STEELERS Coach by far out classed Madden in many ways.

Watching that reminds me how good Andy Russell was..he is forgotten among the other super stars on that team..but man could the dude play

And Jack Ham - he is constantly 30 yards downfield, blanketing a receiver and picking off passes (or dropping interceptions).

Wasn't he still at Clemson in 75 ? I thought he was drafted in 76?

1976 - 1984

Just had to get his name out there. He was pretty good but under-rated. Didn't hear much media coverage on him even in his earlier days.
