List some of the potential records and stats you find or hear about here:

With 2 games left to go

Ben already has set a steelers passing yards record this season, but he is 3 tds from his previous high of 32 tds in a season.
he also is about 1 rate point off of his career high at passer rating
if he averages 293 passing yards per game over the last two games, he will be the first Steelers QB to throw for over 5000 yards... and only the sixth (Marino, manning, Brady,Brees and Stafford) QB... though Luck may as well this season...
he also is 77 yards behind of luck for the NFL lead in that area

Bell Has 1989 all purpose yards. he will crack 2k and if he maintains his averages, should finish with one of the top 50 seasons all time in that area, despite not returning punts or kickoffs like many of the other have...

Brown has 115 receptions, the NFL record is way out of reach at 143 (marvin Harrison), but second place isn't quite so out there... 123... two more 5 catch games and that is his

Also noteworthy is he is just shy of 1500 yards on the season and his steelers record... while Calvin Johnson's record of 1964 and rice's 2ns spot of 1848 are out of realistic reach, he still has a real shot at cracking one of the 5 best seasons of all time in receiving yards... if he does so he will knock Josh Gordon out of the top ten, then the only other active WR on that list will be Calvin Johnson... pretty rarified air there

ie.. good job Haley.

Wish the Defense could pull their weight.

In all honesty the defense isn't statistically as bad as one might expect... however I wouldn't want to bet on them vs a manning or Brady... they contained Brees for a bit, then well... you saw... they aren't one of the ten worse defenses in the league... they aren't one of the ten best either... they are middling and below average in many places

I don't agree. Our D is THAT bad - beyond that, it's horrible and among the worst Steeler defenses since Nolls final year. Right now, I'm guessing that our D efficiency is probably in the bottom 5 (probably worse) in the league. Last time I checked we were giving up over 6yds per play - So if were not averaging more than 6yds per play, 400+yds per game, and leading the league in TOP on offense, this is a 3-5 win team.

Then again the players we have on D are THAT bad.

I have to agree, our D keeps me up at night knowing what could be around the corner come January. Brady and Manning could masturbate all over our D. We had some success with Luck and Brees to keep them in somewhat in check, but the PO is another animal and the gloves will be off. I don't know how, but I really hope they figure something out to stop the long passing plays. AJ Green, Douglas and Hilton is a sample of what's to come. Teams will go after the secondary until they stop it.

I'm never worried with where we are now, as long as we keep improving and getting people back healthy.

there is a good article floating about out there this week talking about our chances to knock off the Broncos or pats based on our offense and the few strengths of our D. the d isn't a total dumpster fire , though to us it sure looks like it. they have a deep ball issue. The secondary really cannot cover deep. though the Pats have virtually no deep passing game at all this year and even Manning doesn't have the same accuracy on his deep balls as he used to. most of their long plays are catch and runs The D gives up more big plays this season than probably the last 10 combined, but it also has a fair amount of stops. They aren't quite a bottom 10 team in points allowed. There are some absolutely atrocious Ds out there this season. We are bad by steelers standards, but still functional enough to get a few stops a game and the o can be good enough to win against a good team with just a few stops, as we saw vs indy.

Ab had 7 catches vs the chiefs... that brings his total up to 122 for the year... that's tied for 4th all time. one more and he is in a 3 way tie for 2nd all time, 2 more and he is only behind marvin harrisons insane 143 in 2002...

Ben needs 365 in the final game to get to 5k passing yards....

Bell had an off game today...

I see Ben cracking it...historically significant to his HoF aspirations.

Ben is ******* sharp and the O is on a roll. They beat a tough, nasty D today with not a lot of possessions.

Well luck got pulled with 109 passing yards, but Brees had 313... that means barring a manning huge day, the passing yards lead for 2014 will come down to the best day out of

Brees, who leads with 4671 yards
Ben, who is #2 with 4635 yards
and luck who is 3 and has 4601 yards
