2023 Schedule Release

Looking forward to the schedule coming out.

I always look to see how the NFL schedule department screws the Steelers over………

I know the schedule can’t be controlled, or so we think,… but they sure as hell know what they are doing

A good time to sharpen the ol trusty red hot flaming smoker poker with the initials FU for ol RGs impact on messing up what he can and doing it well.

Word is the schedule will drop next Thursday. Hoping for minimal prime time games. Obviously some 4 pm games with road games against the Raiders, Seahawks and Rams. Hoping our Thursday game is on the road.
What are your wishes?
I'm with you on minimal prime-time games. I love the 1 PM and 4 PM games.

I guess it's possible to need to have a 21-0 record lol. If two teams go undefeated in the conference, I assume there's a tie breaker to determine the first round bye. Wouldn't that be a kick in the ***.

I just read today that there are Monday night doubleheaders the first 3 weeks now.
If the NFL thought they could make an extra buck, there would be a prime time game on every night.

Hey, what about the fans in Europe or Asia, perhaps games should start at 5 AM EST to accommodate them as well?

So a few points about this year’s schedule:

1. 5 European games will be played this season… 3 in london and 2 in Germany… THE STEELERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANY OF THEM…
2. There will be a tripleheader on Christmas again… its very likely that we will be playing that day imo
3. Teams are allowed to get two thursday games this season… we will probably have that…
4. Amazon is hosting a game on Black Friday… so between tge three thanksgiving games and the Black Friday game 8 of 32 teams will be playing those days…

Weird take from me, but I prefer going to Thursday night games over Sunday and Monday night games.

Thanksgiving weekend is going to be terrific. If I had to guess, Steelers-Ravens will play over Thanksgiving or Christmas.

I used to dislike 4:00 games but I’ve come to prefer them. If the stress of the games is going to cause me to drink, let that conclude a little closer to bed time than 4:30 in the afternoon.

Who else sees themselves going to Vegas? Coworker has access to 4 tix and sells for face. If weekend works tge SteelerSasks are going.
I might be. Old Army buddy of mine who lives in the bay area in Cali is a diehard Raider fan, and we chatted about it back at the end of last season, saying it would be fun to meet up in Vegas for the game. I dunno, we'll see.

Should be interesting to see the difference......when I look at accommodations in Pittsburgh the weekend of games the prices are jacked up to the extreme compared to non Steeler weekends. I find that applies to many away games as well. Vegas has such a huge inventory of rooms, maybe the prices will be more reasonable. Plus the flights are cheap from Vancouver. Have to look up where the stadium is,whether it’s close to the action.

The stadium is right behind Mandalay Bay at south end of Strip. Super easy access.

if you want fair priced rooms in Pittsburgh, book them for several games dates on the exact night the sked is released, then cxl the ones you do not want later. The pricing matrix raises hotel prices for game weekends soon after sked is released.

Vegas is less than 300 miles, and I used to go there a couple times a year to get C.E. to keep up my license. Unless you're into gambling or hookers, there's not much there. I suppose you could overspend for a has been show, but I noticed prices increasing dramatically around 2010. No more cheap rooms and a lot of the casinos now charge for parking. Still, if you've never been, it is a circus worth seeing at least once.

Never been to “Vegas” but plan on going some time. NOT a gambler at all, but may spend $20.00 accasdionally.

I’d go for the experience, enjoy the victory and check out the city. Like Chevy Chase, take a dam tour, take a dam picture, hhhahhhahhhh

You never know, IDC, with those $20 you may win yourself a new car... Rusty won 4 of them at the slots...

But then you'd have a dilemma.... what to do with the Luxury S10...
