Was good to see besides guard and one T down that the team is relatively healthy. If we can get DeCastro back soon that should help considerably.

Hard to tell without knowing the extent of injury. With the time he missed one could guess one to two weeks for a return.

With adjusted rules for the 2020 season, players going on Injured Reserve (IR) only have to miss three weeks before they can return

I think they were expecting him out three to four weeks so this move makes sense.

DD has been a hush hush injury. He's been injured since 8/23 so it's been 3 weeks today. If it is a knee injury and they elected to not get surgery, I'm thinking it may be a meniscal tear. That's a 4 week injury. The other option is they cleaned up loose bodies arthroscopically and kept the procedure a secret. 2-4 weeks with those. I think we'll know next week where he's at, otherwise they would have placed him on IR.

You don't have to designate players anymore. Returns are also unlimited this year due to Covid:

Every team would have the ability to return an unlimited number of players to the active roster following placement on injured reserve or the non-football injury/illness list.


The 2020-only rules, which become effective after 4:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 6, will allow the team to remove any player with a football or non-football injury from the roster for three weeks. After three weeks, the player will be eligible to return to practice. Once he returns to practice, the team will have 21 days to place him back on the active roster.

We had to wait until after the first game for these rules to take affect so teams weren't stashing players on IR.
