The guy missed 24 games the last 2 years because of injury. You can't help much if you're always in rehab.
Being a backup I think would lessen the chance for injury... But yeah there is a risk...
They really don't have much of an option as far as a backup C unless you move one of the guards.. I am not talking bringing him in a a starter...

If he can legitimately perform, I can see him as a backup role, nothing more. Obviously the injury concern is valid, as is the depth needed.

True an option, but not a vet option. Or a high draft pick option. He might turn out to be just what the Dr. ordered. But you can't have enough trenches depth.
I think they brought him in to take a look at him at Center. On size alone he's a better option than Kendrick Green. lol
Of course. I would trade or cut Green before camp. I don't think he is going to bring any real competition to the position.

maybe get a 1st in 2024 draft and a conditional 2nd based on if he makes final cuts

Shoulda kept Hassenauer...his contract with Giants is 1 yr. and a little over $1 mill.
Perhaps the one thing I just didn't understand. Like another poster mentioned they must not have been impressed with his play. Yet Green is still taking up backfield.
