There is a lot of hand wringing and moaning about our team this year

Particularly over the past two weeks,

But the lions, whom we tied, nearly beat the browns and frankly Baker mayfield had a much worse day against them thst rudolph did

The Ravens barely squeaked by the Bears… not much different than us except they put up fewer points against them and field’s didn’t play much in the second half… so he couldn’t suddenly tear it up down the stretch…

The reality is every team is mediocre this year… conference leading Tennessee judt got beat by bottom feeder 1-8 Houston….

We are not doing as bad as some think

What? Did the Browns lose to the Lions? Or TIE them?

****. I feel BETTER! Cause I though maybe the Browns BEAT the Lions and that they (The Lions REMAINED winless.)

I feel WAY better now.

Cause seeing as how the Browns lost to the Lions, that means the Steelers AREN'T at the bottom of the AFC North again.

Whew!

A little perspective on the Ravens. They played with a starter on his first game and he engineered the GW drive with under 2 min. The two min and timeout was more than enough. They just can't block and the playcalls suck.

The Lions almost beat the Clowns without Goff because we pummelled him last week.

It's been heading that way for quite some time now. Close games at the end keep viewership up and TV contracts happy.

I a oportunistic but

It's how we lose, same bullshit play calls, same bullshit lack of coaching fundamentals, same use of injury as scape goats including throwing the substitutes under the bus.

If there was a glimmer of hope of change, it would go a long way on the perspective.

Myself, I will always have hope and postitive hope.

I just need to see a little perspective to the positive on the coaching side of the ball. This syste has been broken for a long long time.

We’re DOOOOOMED!!!!
Seriously though, even if we manage to get into the playoffs, we’re not getting far. Shades has been one-and-done many times before with better teams than this.

In terms of perspective, I have noted a great many posts pointing out (rightfully) that the Steelers were really hamstrung last night due to injuries on the defensive side of the ball.

Well, thank goodness it wasn't a situation like an entire team being short-handed due to 'Rona and other issues and having to travel WITHOUT their head coach for a game that meant either making the playoffs or not. Cause NO team could win THAT game.
Much less come back the next week and utterly destroy the heavy favorite by the end of the 1st quarter.

THAT would be some perspective.

Right now, I don't see how we beat the Bengals next week. Just seems like too tall of a task.
Hell, winning another game this year seems like too tall of a task.

I think the Bengals game will be the measuring stick for the rest of the season.

Win it and they have a shot if they play out of their minds for the rest of the season.
Lose it, and they're pretty much done. Can't expect them NOT to pack it in, given the remaining schedule.

A lot of perspective. When the Cleveland Browns become the measuring stick of the success of this team. Well...........

I hate to agree. Last week I was saying how if we could go .500 the rest of the way, we'd be in the playoffs (not that we want to do that but we could). I also said I can see us not winning another game. ****, we have the Bungholes, the Rats twice, the Clowns, the Chiefs, Tennessee, and the Vikings. Tennessee without Henry is definitely winnable if Watt, Minkah, and Hayden are back. The Clowns are beatable as well. The rest of the teams have good passing and running games. We will struggle to hang with any of them. The division games will be the most important. Somehow, we need to beat the Bungholes, Clowns, and Ratbirds once. If we do that, we might sneak in but I'd actually rather not sneak in unless we have a legit shot to win games in the playoffs.

It's the NFL and the last few weeks have been bizarre all the way around so who knows what will happen. The one team that seems to keep winning no matter what is thrown at them are the Ratbirds. I have no idea how they are where they are.

Agree, yet we beat the the Clowns who mauled the bungholes in Cincy.

Weird.

Hardly a viable predictor. The Bengals have already beaten the Steelers once. No reason to assume the game will be easier this time around.

If our D can start getting TOs I truly believe we can win a bunch more games. Fact is they have struggled in that department this season.

I don't think they'll lose out, but they could well lose more than they win.
The D can't get off the field, and the offensive play calling has been just that.

I wasn't assuming anything.
I was just expressing the weirdness of it. I dont think the Steelers can beat the Bungholes.

I wonder if BEN ever voices the displeasure of the play calling ? I think when they negotiated his return there was something said about my way or the highway when it came to Canada and the offence.

Something has to be there about not being able to audible. it was once addressed as the young guys not being able to handle all the assignments of audibles as they are just learning the system. If they don't have the "system" this late in the season then scrap the to complicated system as it is flawed.

please how many yards did chargers have last night and how many times did we stop them in the first half. This team showed its identity last two games the defense is terrible in all aspects, coverage, tackles interceptions, secondary is always chasing the receiver have no clue where the ball is. offensive line is just plain terrible, the running backs have to make every yard for themselves, Ben has players around him every game on every play, receivers cannot for the sake of them get any separation. Perspective we have no coaches that can or have made players better. Tomlin has proven he cannot make changes in a game; he will not hire coaches with a pedigree, low behold they would get any credit before himself. Our physicality has vanished. No as fans we are frustrated in front of the TV watching the team we love. The only one not seeing a change is needed is Mr Rooney, his perspective seems to lie on a different view,

Not without TJ Watt. Funny that we lost every game he didn't play in this season.
