I think Baltimore killed it. They have taken what we used to be for years: draft solid and always have a mean nasty defense. Hamilton, Linderbaum, and Ojabo is a helluva haul for a team that was already damn good and was decimated by injuries last year. They continue to be solid even after Newsome stepped down. Hope our successor can do the same.

Baltimore
As it always seems, Baltimore had a terrific draft. They always take the top talent on the board and you could've put their draft in place of the Steelers and I would've been thrilled. There of course are concerns with Hamilton (speed), Linderbaum (size), and Ojabo (injury), but if they live up to their potential, all three should be terrific players. Jones and Faalele add a ton of size to the trenches and Armour-Davis was good value in the fourth. Baltimore drafts TEs like the Steelers draft receivers, so you have to assume at least one of those guys will be solid.

Cincinnati
Hill was a popular pick for the Steelers instead of Pickett with his athleticism and versatility as a safety and slot corner. Taylor Britt helps solidify the secondary by filling one of the team's top needs. Overall, they addressed their top needs, but nothing special (on paper) after the first two rounds.

Cleveland
Without a first-rounder due to the Watson trade, Cleveland did fairly well given a glutton of middle-round selections. Emerson was a solid option in the third with excellent size and upside. Wright is a developing pass rusher who has seemed to improve each year and Bell is a productive receiver who fell due to lack of speed. I still think he'll be good.

Other than Pickett, I don't see any other picks that will make a sudden, positive impact on our roster. If Watson (CLE) is suspended for 25% of the season or more, I think we could possibly go 3rd in our division.

This draft success for the Steelers will be down the road. Not a single impact player for 2022.

With only two receivers, Pickens and Austin both have a chance to make an early impact. Leal should see somewhere between 20 and 25% of the snaps on defense, which is what you want from a third rounder early on.

Our draft all depends on if Pickett becomes a true franchise QB. Not many teams draft back to back franchise QBs? Indy with Manning and then Luck is the only one I can think of.

We'll see the first two picks have that potential..

Not both drafted by the team, but the Packers with Favre and Rodgers.

I think the rats had the best draft, followed by the Steelers.

Which doesn't shock me as I think the two clubs rotate in who has the best draft year to year in the division. I thought Cleveland's was a train wreck and Cincy's was just meh. Although I like Hill

Disagree both WRs will have plenty snaps. Leal should play on passing situations ahead of loudermilk.
Pickens might, Leal is very inconsistent and I don't see him taking snaps from Loudermilk who seemed to get a little better for a late pick the year before. Leal never jumped off the screen in games at all.

How the heck did the Rats get so many 4th round picks. That's mining gold territory.

Everybody praising the Ratbirds draft is all the proof you need to see their front office doesn't know WTF they are doing.

They trade away Hollywood Brown.....your star QB Tweets...."WTF ******* ****....with Heartbreaking Emoji's"....Tweet gets DELETED.....

Rats take Kyle Hamilton a guy who will be a liability in man coverage without question. Their starting WR's are Rashod Bateman & Devin Deuvernay who combined for a little over 700 yds receiving last season......They finish 7 rounds of the draft without drafting a WR to replace Hollywood Brown who whether you like him or not helped Mark Andrews get open underneath by stretching the field.

They literally made themselves a one-dimensional offense at least right now. Knowing Harbaugh he will add a "PUD" like Antonio Brown to the roster just to get the ire of Steelers fans but right now as their offense sits....they have no weapons on the outside unless Bateman or Duervernay all of a sudden turn out to be ballers.

I get the whole drafting BPA or BAA but when you have need at a position you better focus your sights on securing players at those positions who you feel can come in and contribute right away.

Steelers had a need at WR considering we lost 3 of them in the off-season including Juju....they go out and get George Pickens & Calvin Austin.....then knowing they still have a need for a Safety that they weren't able to get in the Draft they go right out and sign Damontae Kazee from the Falcons who is a ball hawking Safety. Draft for need not BPA. Almost reminds me of the Steelers 2008 NFL Draft where we desperately needed O-line but Tomlin drafted BPA & BAA in Rashard Mendenhall & Limas Sweed and then went on the say in the Post Draft interview that there are other ways to protect a QB than O-line and that is to surround him with weapons......well Ben got sacked 46 times that season and 50 in 2009 before Tomlin finally stopped taking BPA or BAA and drafting for need by bringing in Maurkice Pouncey and starting to rebuild that O-line.

Favre & Rogers

I was thinking of Rivers/Herbert.

Browns didn't add much but David Bell. He will be a great possession WR.

Bengals. Taylor Britt was a good pick at CB but I think Dax Hill is overrated. He doesn't hit enough for S and isn't a great cover guy. On paper he gives you versatility because in theory he lets you play bigger in your nickel package but he's not a run defender and in coverage, you'd be better off with a CB.

Ravens draft is good but how could it not be with so many picks in the first 4 rounds? I do think it's overrated though. Hamilton looks clunky to me. He has instincts. If they want him to be a center fielder and cherry pick like Ed Reed he can be good. If they want him down in the box vs the run, he'll be good but I don't think he's good as a matchup player in coverage.

Linderbaum will be good but this is a curious pick for the ravens who usually go for massive size on the OL.

Ojabo is a good pick but he and Oweh are both speed guys. If they are the 2 DEs, i don't think they will hold up vs the run.

Travis Jones was a great pick. I was pissed they got him.

Faalele may eat himself out of the league.

We own this division. We only lend it out once in a while when it comes time to regroup.
