Four teams are locked in (NE, Den, Pitt, Indy)
NE has clinched a bye, and only needs to remain tied with Denver to clinch the top seed.
Denver will clinch the second seed with one more win.
The Steelers will take the third seed with a win over Cincy, but will drop to fifth with a loss. They cannot finish sixth.
Cincy clinches a playoff spot with a win over Denver. They take the division with a win over Pittsburgh, regardless of what they do versus Denver. If the Bengals lose both games, they would need for either Baltimore, or SD to lose in order to take the sixth seed. Cincy could take the second seed if they win out, and Denver loses next week.
Baltimore needs to beat Cleveland, and either have SD lose to KC, or the Bengals lose both games.
SD clinches the sixth seed by beating KC. They are eliminated with a loss.
Houston needs to win, plus have Baltimore, and SD lose.
KC, needs to beat SD, and have Baltimore, and Houston lose.

Cincy and SD control their own destiny, the others need help. Of those who need help, Baltimore has the most realistic chances to make it, as they have two paths, and both paths have the teams the Ravens need to win as favorites.

I am actually rooting for cinci tonight... screw the Ravens... the bengals are fairly harmless overall... I hope manning lays a turd and san diego blows out KC.

There aren't any great or terrible matchups this year in the first round... san diego has rivers vs our secondary. the Ravens can at least make us one dimensional and their O isn't utterly pathetic all the time either. KC gave us a bit of a test for a while today, Houston has Watt, Cinci is probably the best overall matchup and they are fair at everything, great at nothing....

I just want the Ratbirds out because **** them

Lol i'm rooting for them, too. Theyre gonna eventually get this primetime monkey off their back, and I'd rather they'd do it during a home game against a fellow playoff team the week BEFORE they play ANOTHER primetime game in our house lol

So, if the bengals beat denver, baltimore's only chance would be for a san diego loss to the chiefs, correct? (assuming they beat cleveland)

if san Diego wins, it is in. there are only (2) 9-6 teams and the Chargers beat the ravens head to head. If cinci wins one more it can finish no worse than 10-5-1, that assures it a spot. We already clinched based on the fact we lost two games to crappy NFC teams so our afc record is pretty sterling

Quick question, if we beat the Bengals, and Denver were to lose the last two (unlikely, I know), would we get the #2 spot and the bye?

I have looked at a few sites and I don't think there is any way we can get the 2 seed. I guess the donkeys have a tiebreaker on us.

AFC records?

Strength of victory.

The only way I'd like to see the Rats make it is as a fifth seed. This is because the Rats play NE better than any team in the league, while Brady eats Lebeau's defense for lunch with his short passing game. Baltimore is the only team I can see stopping NE from getting to the $uper Bowl.

Yeah conference is tied, must be their tougher schedule/ So win and we host a Ravens I think most likely as they have the worst conference record on a Ravens win at home against the Browns and Chargers beat the Chiefs (if the Bengals win tonight Ravens lose control of destiny) Scenario. I think it will either be the Ravens or the Chargers if the Steelers win the division. If Cinci loses tonight, but wins the diviision the Steelers are likely heading their unless the Colts Jake the last game against the Titans to protect Luck/

Great perspective. I'd rather go to Cincy in round one then let those guys in the playoffs.
