This may be the best supporting cast Ben has had as a Steeler. A. Brown and Leveon Bell are shoe in Pro Bowlers this year. Add in a healthy Health Miller, rookie sensation Bryant, an improved Wheaton along with contributions from F.A. pick-up Moore. Even back-up tight ends Spaeth and Palmer have contributed. We've seen what numbers they are capable of collectively. Here's hoping they can continue to improve and hit their stride next month and roll into the post season.

Here, here!

Concur. Brown and Bell are just so good that Miller's decline as compared to 2008, for example, is offset. It is basically like having Ruth and Gehrig in your line-up. Who else is in the line-up? Who cares.

Moving forward the youth has to perform

It looks like Bell gets it

but Wheaton and Bryant will need for that consistent red light to come on

as well as the D bending but not breaking

the remaining schedule isn't a cream puff one

but how the Steelers play down to teams, it might not be such a bad thing

I look forward to seeing what direction this team is going after the bye.............

Give me ward and Holmes over brown and Wheaton. Bell over parker so its a push to me, actually 2008 miller is better than 2014 miller

Ill take this crop of receivers over Ward and Holmes....Wheaton just needs to keep his focus but we've seen what he can do when hes on. Brown is a game changer. Ward was a possession receiver that blocked well and had leadership.....But w Brown, Wheaton, Bryant and Bell, theres no reason we should be scoring under 21 pts a game

I'm still not convinced Wheaton isn't trash as a #2

I think its about the same, perhaps a teeny bit better than the Bettis/Ward years. I'd like to compare them with equal defenses but, sadly, that can't be done with the worse defense we have now.

I like Wheaton, but he's not there yet, at least with Holmes and Ward, you had two dependable guys you could go to, not just one. Hell 2012 Wallace and Brown over Wheaton and Brown.
If we are going back to 2005, Online was way better than this line.

There must be a reason, it has happened more than once.

While I am impressed with the talent on the team, I am reminded of something Hines Ward once said...

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."

It won't hurt my feeling to see Brown, Bryant, Wheaton next year. Some players take a little while longer than others, I am not ready to give up on Wheaton just yet.

This offense is inconsistent. We can't throw for 6 TDs back to back weeks and then go lay a ******* egg against the Jets, fall behind 11 to a ****** TN team. We are talented but this team is unpolished offensively. Show me consistency on a weekly basis and I will beat the bandwagon drum loudly. I don't see consistency. I still see a team in transition.

Wheaton's topped 62 yards in a game one time. I surely haven't seen anything special there, and I loved him coming into the season.

I don't think you were comparing him to Hines, but your wording makes it seem like it. And I'm not sure what the "when he's on" is. The last drive against Cleveland in Week 1? He's been MIA since then. Hell, he doesn't even come close to Santonio's class, meaning he barely plays the same sport as Hines.

Sorry, but this is.. odd. Hines was just a dumpoff guy and a blocker? He was a YAC extraordinaire, a GREAT red zone target, and a HOFer overall. To gloss over his career while pimping Wheaton as someone who's looked awesome is way off base.
