Alex Highsmith and Malik Reed combined had 0 tackles, O assists, and 0 sacks yesterday.
Kenny Pickett (1) had more tackles than the two of them combined.

Highsmith was going against a pretty good tackle … so there’s that..

Reed is just not very good in the current role of TJs back up

I could certainly accomplish this. Sign me up! I'll do it for half the price.

I don't even need to practice either. I can do this from my sofa. Same results.
 
Highsmith has been a major disappointment.
 
Reed is the new Mr. Invisible (with all due respect to Carlos Emmons, of course).
 
With the exception of the first quarter on Sunday night AND a couple INT drops, it seems silly to bash the D over the past 2 games
I truly do not care about Highsmith's tackles. I want the D to keep the other team from scoring.
If one of those INTs happens, the Steelers probably get the W Sunday and we are partway to providing our rookie QB with what he really needs:
dominating D and a good running game.

I'd have to agree.

James Harrison could probably come off the street right now and have more of an impact than Malik Reed.

A couple of ints? A couple? That was a foursome, two couples, damn near an orgy of dropped INTS. They were killing me the whole game.

And a fans definition of a bad game might not align with their position coaches.
 
You must ask if the player was being used properly.

It's really hard to believe that the difference between starter and backup is that bug. He has played 6 games and has made like 2 or 3 plays. Like you would think that being a pro level player something would fall in your lap.

only guy in our secondary that can catch a ball is Minkah .......... I counted 5 times we should have had a good pick attempt pick and 2 others that if Maulet ever turned his head around to locate the ball , he was in better position to catch the ball than their receiver was.....

I always thought that Sutton has decent hands, he even was a returner in college but he didn't look good last game in that regard.

I think they are shell shocked how the season has progressed. Now they expect the worse.

I try to keep that glimmer of hope but they are trying my patience like no other.

18 years of a Franchise QB. maybe have some growing pains after retirement

And Reed had 13 sacks in 30 games over the last two years, so it's not like the guy has never had at least some modest success.
