YeuP, that scheme is way less than aggressive.

Case in point:

Bungles were 3rd & 16, secondary / corners lined up 12+ yards off the ball play happened and I think offsides on bungles. Ball moved back to 3rd and 21, secondary / corners lined five yards deeper to 17+ yards off the ball, still gave up na first down. YES 2 DL formation.

The nice thing about this is that they can go easy on Highsmith and slowly work him back in.

After what that ankle looked like on the field there is no way he is 100 percent yet and with Herbig playing the way he is, there is no need to push it.

They had a package with Watt, Highsmith and Herbig out there together early in the season vs ATL


Have a feeling we haven’t seen it again since due to the lack of depth at the position

But they’ve obviously contemplated that as it has happened this year. Hopefully as we get healthy and have Smith and Herbig as depth we’ll see it again towards the playoff run

Yup when Cam is catching a breath if Herbig and PEYTON WILSON are out there together with Ogunjobi the run D is highly suspect …or maybe Chase Brown is just that good

Alex sets the edge far better than Herbig who is great as a situational pass rusher but not so great going up against tackles like Orlando Brown on an every play basis

Can’t sit all the run stoppers at once tho cuz those were some huge running lanes Chase Brown had

Years and years and.....years of tape has not yet convinced HC Tomlin to do otherwise. Hopefully at some point......if/when we make the playoffs.....someone will show HC Tomlin all the tape of prior failures of his scheme........and he moves on from it. Fingers crossed.

That's all I got is hope. If he's absolutely serious about winning a championship,he will.

It's not like they don't have a mountain of plays and schemes in house to utilize. The teams been around since 1933. Hell i bet they have original plays books locked up someplace. They certainly have all of the Noll and Cowher years.

There's no reason to keep doing **** that's failing. They have enough talent.

Interesting concept, but I also know it’s easy to lose count while actually listing out the players by name.
