By G.Stryker SteelerNation.com Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Eli Rogers was picked up as an undrafted free agent rookie from Louisville.* He had good numbers, running a sub 4.4 40-yard dash to go with his 34 ½” vertical, which is great for a 5’10” receiver.* Eli never put up great receiving numbers in college, but he […]

Good writeup G money. Really only thing that could hold Eli back from being a solid option would be injuries. If he can maintain his health he would be a difficult cut. Healthy I could see it really be Switz army knife VS Spencer for the last man standing.

Nice summary Cope. Yeah the knee is a question mark, but he looked good and able those last three games.

Almost would feel intrigued in keeping both Eli and Switz. Those are two quick targets to supplement JuJu and whomever is no. 2.

I think the Steelers probably feel the same way. 6 could be carved out a spot on the roster unless Spencer changes the mindset.

Not counting special teams, I still give Switz the slight edge. Adding in ST and Switz is currently well ahead of Eli to make the team. Switz can do so many things and now that he has an offseason to prepare and work with Ben, he will be that much better. Even though they signed Rogers, I think he has an uphill battle to make the roster this year. He is going to have to look damn good in camp.

I have to think that Eli is odd man out. There are always injuries to deal with but everyone is healthy I think Eli is off but told to stay in shape. We can't keep them all and as a head coach I'd have to pick potential vs oft injured.

PS. GREAT write up "G" and I really like your break downs along with hand placement analysis. Good Job and keep Em' coming.
