ha ha - they will beat the Ravens for sure now!

Its like the Browns just can't get out of their own way. Johnny Football was a a polarizing pick. They take him anyway. Then they force the timetable and he looks shity. Then he says he will have to dedicate himself more and he misses a walk through. Honestly, half way through the season the Browns had me concerned. They will be garbage forever, them and the Raiders always look on the verge of getting good and something happens. Every **** up by Manzeil takes money out of Jameis Winston's pocket. No one is going to want any part of that after this debacle.

From what I'm hearing, Manziel was excused from the walk through because of his injury. But, if I were the staff in Cleveland, I'd take his not being there as a sign. A guy who truly meant the stuff Manziel was saying would have been there with his teammates prior to the last game of the season; injured or not. It's about leadership and accountability.

it's a walk-thru
what could possibly be so difficult to stand on the sidelines for a damn walk-thru?

If he was excused that is ****** reporting. He shouldn't be named if he didn't break a team rule. The report on nfl.com says and Johnny Manziel.

Well it's ****** reporting because ESPN basically mentions that the Browns were unable to find Gordon AND Manziel. Then later in the article points out:

The Browns did not mention Manziel in their release, and players on injured reserve are not required to attend walk-throughs, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Manziel was placed on injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury in last week's loss to Carolina.

Manziel has to know that he's made an easy target of himself and that the media will be taking their pot shots at him whenever they can. He should've just shown up.

Apparently they kinda screwed him and told him to be late or told him the wrong time.

By doing so, it fux up his FA ability and the Browns may get him for an extra year on the cheap..

That's a deviously STUPID plan on their part. First, if they think a head case like Gordon is going to give them his all AFTER they set him up to be screwed out of unrestricted free agency for a year, they're just nuts. Second, no matter how they feel about Josh Gordon the person, every other player on that team will look at how management treated Josh Gordon the player in this instance and it will weigh on their minds when it comes time to negotiate extensions, etc. Third, if it can be proven, the NFLPA will have their ***** in court quicker than a Johnny Manziel interception.

I agree with you- it would be deviously stupid on the part of the Browns.

But its not difficult to believe that either the Browns are being deviously stupid, or that Gordon is just being an ***. Both are very legitimate possibilities.

True, true ... good point

I also think they are not mutually exclusive, there is enough dumbassery for both to be correct.

Browns fans were already way pissed off at Gordon for half-assing basically everything he's done this year since he got back off suspension.

Practice !!!! We're talking practice.................. WTF

Half @ssidry is the trade mark of the browns, what would you expect? Way to keep a good team down........ As if they need help.

Salute the nation

As Paul Harvey would say: "And now ... the rest of the story"
It appears that although Manziel was not required to be at the walk through, he was required to be at treatment in a timely manner on Saturday. He failed to honor that requirement by being late and was fined by the Browns for his tardiness. Hence the reports that Manziel could not be found.

Dysfunction like this is part of a team's essence and will stay so until leadership makes fundamental changes. It is why, no matter how well Blount does in N.E., I am glad that the Steelers acted somewhat swiftly in getting rid of him after his "walk out".

How long does Farmer last at GM. Haslem seems like Jerrah Jr.

As Supe eluded to - WHAT'S SO FLIPPIN' HARD ABOUT A WALK THRU PRACTICE???

I guess it depends on how hard it is to walk or stand and how much pain you are in. Also did he take something for pain that knocked his *** out? We do not know. I would be real worried about treatment from the Browns with their history of staph infections.

I'm betting the NFLPA gets highly involved in this discussion...

I hope the browns win it would be great to move them further away from the better picks and to beat the gavens as well it is like winning twice and we will get to see a cryin harbaugh

Wow this team is amazing.... Now the report is manziel threw a party Friday night and that's where all the problems stemmed from. Both gordon and gilbert were in attendance. The season is over in a few days.. Hard to believe they couldn't just wait.....
