And the signings keep coming

Hopefully this indicates the end of the Chris Wormley Experiment.

he was steady at least
Yes. Steadily horrendous in stopping the run.

The Steelers were last in the league in 2021 versus the run, when Wormley was getting 70% of the snaps. He's one of the worst run defenders I've ever seen, this side of Devin Bush. I look for continued improvement in 2023 with hopefully both of those clowns gone.

2021 was a train wreck for run defense. Vikings game still makes me sick. but Wormley was not the biggest issue. once again he was steady. he filled a role.

Yes it certainly was, and Wormley was one of THE biggest issues. Here's some more statistical proof for you:

2021, with Wormley playing 71% of the defensive snaps: 146.1 yards per game allowed (#32 of 32 NFL teams) and 5.0 YPC (#32)
2022, with Wormley playing 40% of the defensive snaps: 108.1 yards per game allowed (#9) and 4.2 YPC (#8)
2022, with Wormley not playing at all for four games: 83.2 yards per game allowed (prorated #3) and 3.9 YPC (prorated #4)

Steady indeed. Less Wormley = better run defense.

His name is Armon WattS, That is with an ”S”.

Nothing near our super-man
TJ WATT.

I truly hope Armon can bring some rotational help. He is camp competition to see who can stick.

He actually had a decent to pretty year in 2021 with the Vikings. Hard to gauge what he was on the Bears - not in training camp with them at all, and the Bears are garbage - so we'll see. Looks like a good choice to spell the great guys we have when needed.

I disagree. Big Worm was not a liability...
I based my opinion on statistical evidence which backed up my eye test. What are you basing yours on?

Mine is mostly eye test, but when the worm wasn’t in, the yards were harder to come by.

I hope just the spelling of his last name helps in the WATT tradition……….

Armon Watts, I’m hoping is an upgrade from the Wormely LAB experiment.

“Watts” is Pittsburghese for “Watt”.

Bargain basement bodies to help with the depth chart until they can draft better players.
