To summarize a guy is suing his parents because he was brought into this world w/o consent. He feels parents should have to take care of kids all theirs lives because the kids have no input on whether or not they are brought into the world......

ew vocab word for the day: anti-natalism. If you need a quick primer on what it means, just ask Raphael Samuel, a 27-year-old from India who’s suing his parents based on just that philosophy.

To wit: He doesn’t think they had the right to force him to be born without his consent.

The BBC notes that Samuel gets the seeming illogic behind the concept—after all, how can you ask someone who hasn’t been born yet if they agree to be born?—but his point is that since “it was not our decision to be born,” our parents should have to pony up the funds to take care of us for life.

Per the Facebook page he created devoted to anti-natalism, Samuel says people bringing kids into a miserable world is akin to “kidnapping and slavery,” and an act that strains the Earth’s resources, per News18.

This isn’t a new thing that’s been bugging Samuel, either: He says he first felt the anti-natalism pull when he was 5 and he didn’t want to go to school one day. He and his parents fought back and forth, until finally he blurted out, “Why did you have me?” The fact that his father had no answer got him to thinking.

The Times of India cites a now-viral YouTube videoin which he expands on his thoughts, and why he’s suing his mom and dad. Samuel tells the BBC that his parents, both attorneys, are pretty good-natured about his whole philosophy, though when he told them about his plans to sue them, his mom replied, “That’s fine, but don’t expect me to go easy on you. I will destroy you in court.”

He also concedes he’s not even unhappy with his life—it’s just that he wishes he’d had the choice whether to have one.

Ridiculous.

Which however leads me to something sort of related..
We as Christians were taught to believe that if you were good you would go to heaven, and if you were bad you would go to hell... for eternity.

But wait a second. I didn't ask to be born. So why am I forcibly being put through this trial called life? ...for fear of failing and going to hell for eternity perhaps I'd rather choose not be born.

Stewey, what Christian sect teaches to be good to get to Heaven? They clearly don't read thre writings of the early church leaders.

Tgat being said, if my kid sued me for this, I would offer to end his miserable angst anytime he wanted. Worthless puke.

There was a famous Sam Kinison skit about this. Wish I could find it. He was doing his skit then diverted to Mother's day. Got all sentimental and calm. Started talking about how before he was born he was peace and light or some ****, floating in the cosmos, no pain, no happiness, no sadness...nothing. He goes on for minutes before he screams something like "then you and Dad had to **** and bring me down here!!! And you want me to pay my own way?!!! **** you!!!"

It was pretty funny.

I'm wondering if this clown heard that skit and got his idea.

If I was the judge, I would dismiss his claim and sentence him to live in Cleveland.

We need to start sending stupid to Russia, China, Iran...etc Let them experience what no choice means

He has a choice to live or not.

His parents should move to Virginia where they can kill him right after birth. Problem solved.

How long before AOC adds this to the justification for a nanny state?

I mean, the guy's got some balls making a claim like that. If only he focused his brain power into something practical to make some money, he wouldn't need his parents paying for his Fortnite skins at 27.

Cow fart Cortez will be too busy capturing, eradicating and eliminating cow farts to comment on this topic.

Yeah it sounds like this dude was never disciplined or given any boundaries when he was a kid. His intellectual parents probably tried too hard to be his friend and let him get away with murder. Now he's a self entitled, spoiled, infantile adult.
