Apparently NBC was the only one dumb enough to want Tomlin’s “insight”.

We've gone down a rabbit hole it seems...

Not political or religious but a non football topic for sure.

I, for one, am grateful what Coach Tomlin did for the organization and while he "fizzled out"; IMO, he also kept quite a bit of "the crazy" under wraps and kept the team in contention every year during his tenure.

That's hard to do when you really think about how the game has changed. How the kids coming into the league have changed. And the effect that NIL has poisoned them prior to making it, if and when they do (see George).

So, with that, let's bury this topic/thread along with Dri Archer's and focus on the upcoming season, m'kay???

...or Rooney could have. I understand Tomlin is low hanging fruit but after his first year he starts cutting out the small guys? I mean there's no motive behind it. You said yourself nothing had been written about him good or bad (by you or your dad at least) so i dont get why the finger pointing. He doesnt know you guys from Adam. In addition it would seem to me that wouldn't be his call...especially after his first year. Im trying hard to empathize but this ain't it.

This is beyond crazy to me. I mean take a step back and breathe and think about what youre saying. If your child had died in 2007 would that be his fault too?? I mean what kind of world do you guys live in on this site? The saddest part about it is not only is what you're feeling completely unfounded. Its been since 2007. Like let it go already. Even if you were foolish enough to believe thats why the credentials were taken away does it make since to harbor feelings like that for almost 20 years about it?? Like, c'mon now.
You seem to want all readers here to acknowledge that you are a pot-stirring, bloviating assshat.

If that is your goal, then you are close to it.

Agreed . We had some good years under him for sure. In my opinion he just stayed to long.
His inability to hire good coordinators held this team back.

With time he will be remember well

Yeah his inability to hire coordinators, groom coordinators, capitalize on clock management, control a locker room, develop QBs, out-scheme Belichick, beat sub par teams, beat elite teams, maximize talent, change play calling, and win one playoff game in a 10 year span.

But all that aside, he could make his eyes real big, say stupid **** that he thought made it sound cool, and blows kisses at the camera like it was no one else’s business. The historians will be lining up to tell his once in a generation story.

Yeah he kept it under wraps alright. If I would have blinked, I would have missed Bell, Brown, and Pickens quitting on the team and telling us that we could eat **** as they walked out the door. But yeah, old Mike really had a knack for managing “the crazy”. Nothing to see here.

you need help.

Yeah says the guy who thinks with time Tomlin will be remembered well. lol
He will be. He was not a horrible coach he just overstayed his time.

don't be an idiot. Has any coach every gone 19 seasons without a losing season regardless of the reason why?

His problem and blessing was he was the head coach of the Pittsburgh steelers
The expectation here is super bowls not winning season.

If he did this as the head coach of the cards or jets or **** or any other perriniael loser he would be looked at as a God.

No other coach started their head coaching careers with 19 consecutive non-losing seasons. Two others have had 19+ consecutive non-losing seasons during their careers - Bill Belichick (19) and Tom Landry (21). So yeah, a very rare achievement. And agree he was not a horrible coach. I've always said he is a good coach but not great due to his playoff record.

Right Rooney was there prior. Your point being???....and if it didnt mean anything to you why bring it up?? Don't sugarcoat it now that you know you look ridiculous.
For Christ's sake. The point is Rooney most likely never concerned himself with any media restrictions in Latrobe, and even if he did, we operated there for three years under his watch without any issues.

I brought up two personal examples explaining why, unlike the majority of Steelers fans, I am not inclined to wish Mike Tomlin well. Sorry that it bothers you to this degree. You are the only guy looking ridiculous in this thread. I tried to have a respectful conversation, but you inevitably drag even the most innocuous discussion down to your level. You're just an asshoIe. And yet you wonder why people can't stand you.

Don't get your tampons in a bunch you oversensitive Karen...I cant imagine being in Tomlins shoes and having everyone blame you for every single thing inside and outside the facility...even things that have totally nothing to do with him. Heavy is the head that wears the crown i guess.

He thinks that any team would view Tomlin as a God. lol
