Are plays to run being decided by committee in the huddle rather than coming from the sidelines?

Absolutely agree that Aaron is running the show on offense.
Aaron asked Cal Austin prior to the TD what he wanted to do. Austin replied, I don’t know. Then Muth chimed in to just cook them.
That’s coming from Aaron!
Don’t sound like the plays coming in from Artie and Shades.

And that my friends is how you get your offense to die charging the same hill with you….and rumor has it, Arod is not a fan of 81 at all

It's simple. A play that gets positive yards, going straight ahead is called by Roger's. Any play that loses ground by going sideways or backwards is called by Tomlin/ Smith (Tomsmith) .

Steeler football 101 as some might say.

But those are the passing plays. What about about the running plays?

In the Browns game, the 3 passes in a row to the same guy in the EZ. That didn’t sound too wise. I thought those were called by Smith.

This leaves me with the impression that passing plays are being drawn up in the huddle by Rodgers, not called by the OC or Tomlin.
What do yinz think?
So do you think it's a committee in the huddle or Rodgers? I can see Rodgers calling them, but not a committee of players.

If it is A-Rod, and I saw that clip yesterday which led me down the path of A-Rod, if it is A-Rod, why the panic over the broken helmet? was that all about the package on the field vs. the play that was needed to score?

I just don't know. That Gainwell goal line thing...is that really an A-Rod call?

Perhaps decided by a committee wasn’t the appropriate term but rather other players being allowed to make suggestions. Rodgers mentioned that either McCormick or Pat suggested the play.

This might be one reason why....16 weeks into the season and this dumbazz doesn't know where he's supposed to be. You get payed millions of dollars...this is your JOB. And you don't even know the plays or where you'e supposed to be.....LOL.

My appreciation for Aaron Rodgers grows every week. Smith is motioning behind Rodgers for some inexplicable reason and A-A-Ron asks the proper question - "What the @#$% are you doing?"

I think since A-Aron's week off due to injury that he maybe had some time to watch things because after he came back the offense was better and playcalling more aggressive.
I'm thinking he told Smitty "I am the captain now" and he's been calling the plays since coming back.
I'm old and remember Terry Bradshaw winning four SB's calling his own plays.

Ron Jr.'s real name is Aaron and he loves this skit.

According to Rodgers, in the second half His Radio headset quit working... then the backup helmets didnt work either that was why they burned all the timeouts.. so he may have just been calling stuff off the wristband
There was a lot of confusion. The second helmet didn't work, then Mason tossed Rodgers his play sheet wristband since Rodgers doesn't use one and he was hollering for one..then they got the second helmet to work. It was a cluster there for a minute.
