So right after Phil Simms says that Arnold Palmer is the last person left in Pittsburgh still watching the game.....

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — There are reports that golf legend Arnold Palmer died on Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Golf Digest Editor Joel Beall tweeted just before 8:30 p.m. that Palmer had died. Golf Digest’s official account followed soon after.

The Latrobe native is regarded as one of the greatest players in professional golf history.

Sad to hear the MSM seems to not have picked it up yet

Very sad indeed. Truly one of the greatest Gentlemen in all of sports. Class act.

Yes he was. I'm not even a golfer but I appreciated his personality and outlook on life. I barely remember him and Jack Nicholas when they were still competing but I always did enjoy watching him on the highlight reels of the old timer tournaments. He was a pilot also correct?

Yes he was one of the first pro athletes to get a pilot's license and fly himself around.

A legend in his sport and a gentleman. RIP and have fun on the 19th hole.

Arnie made my Grandfather an offer he couldn't refuse.

made him Cheif Mechanic at Arnie's Caddy dealership in Latrobe.....my Pap retired comfortably.

R.I.P., Arnie
