Art Rooney II Watches Film Of Bengals Game

AR2 is a big part of the reason for these failures.
He's turning into Bob Nutting Lite. Cares more about making money than the team's record.

Art II is not in the same category as his father Dan who grew up with the Steelers and was extremely passionate about the team. Art II is more the businessman, more concerned with the financial aspect of the business because that's what it is to him, a business. Its not a passion like with his father but a bottom line financial statement. Sure he wants to win but if the team merely has a non losing season, the seats are filled, The Steeler fans locally and nationally remain passionate, the TV money pours in, life is good and Art is pacified. He doesn't see things like grandpa and dad and he never will. I get it, that's who he is and we as passionate fans have no recourse, no other options but to just do what we do and that's vent with one another.

Yeah, right or wrong, that's pretty much how I see it. Also, I read this article this morning and it made me sad. I don't fault Ben, Heyward or T.J. for lack of passion on the players' side.

That is a decent sized family. I wonder if there is another Rooney with a little more football passion that could steer the ship. Do us all a favor ****.

Ya know Slash all kidding aside, what does happen to the ownership God forbid something happens to Art or when he retires? He is almost seventy and at some time he's going to retire. Don't really know the Rooney family tree if Art has sons that are involved.

Both very good questions of which if anyone has insight please let us know.

Salute the nation

Dan Rooney Jr, younger brother of the duce, son of Dan. I understand he has worked his way up through the organization, good personality and sharp. Have heard rumors they're grooming him to eventually take over.

Well, the Rooneys and the (NYG) Mara's have familial ties, so I'd go with actress Kate Mara:

It turns out she's The Chief's great-granddaughter. Who cares if she knows anything about football? ;)

I thought the same thing but didn't know if anyone knew about her. Definitely some football genetics in her and not a bad looker.

She is a great-granddaughter of both New York Giants founder Tim Mara and Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney, Sr.[11] Her mother's side of the family has held ownership in the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers football team since its formation in 1933, and her father's side of the family has held ownership in the NFL's New York Giants since its formation in 1925.

she did star in we are marshall so that pretty much puts her on the same level as tomlin
