This year's thread is for all forms of auto racing since NASCAR's popularity is waning.
NASCAR, IndyCar, F1, NHRA. Post 'em.

The best part about the Steelers going deep into the playoffs is the minimal amount of time between the end of football and the start of NASCAR

Richard Petty's team is switching from Ford to Chevy so I will have to find a new favorite team and driver.

Last year I started following F1 around the second half of the season.

It's going to be an interesting year in NASCAR. I really haven't followed a single driver or team closely since Mark Martin retired. It seems a lot of people think the same way. Now with Junior out, the sport will really start to fade. At this point I don't see any way they can get back to where they were in the 90s. Too bad, it was a lot of fun.

I do like Keselowski. He seems to be maturing and not wrecking people as much. Bowyer is cool but not a great driver. Harvick is growing on me as a Ford guy.

Mark Martin was my favorite driver for a long time too. Have a legit #6 race tire as the base for the glass topped coffee table in my family room.
Harvick isn't the ******* that he used to be either but for me it will take another year in a Ford to get the Chevy stench off of him.

The wife and I have been at the NHRA 4 Wide Nationals in Charlotte, NC this weekend. Good times.

Four Wide, *******!!!!

Mark Martin is a great guy , my ex F-I-L used to talk to him in the Walmart where he works in Port Orange(Daytona suburb)

Harvick is an awesome driver and his so called assholery is what makes him and the races interesting, still like him even though he has that Ford stench on him

I met Mark Martin about 9 years ago in San Antonio, Texas. Nice guy.

Here is one of my own videos. 1000 feet, under 4 seconds, over 300 mph.

May 27, Memorial Day Sunday, best racing day of the year. Monaco Grand Prix this morning on ESPN, Indy 500 this afternoon, Coca Cola 600 tonight.

Rainy *** day here
First time I’ll watch Indy from the beginning,I usually watch the last half every year hoping for the first Andretti win since 1969.

The 600 is my favorite race, start in daylight ends under the lights l,love it!

Might start raining around the start time of the 600. We're less unhappy that we didn't go this year.
The top four at Monaco are the usual suspects. Riccardo, Vettel, Hamilton, Raikonnen.
Couple weeks ago just for ***** and giggles I looked up airfare and hotel for Monaco on race weekend. $6500. Each. Bucket list item.

Danica Patrick out with a crash. Shocking.

F1 pit stops make Indycar pit stops look like slow motion.

German Grand Prix is pretty good. Actually a fair amount of passing. My main complaints about F1 are not enough passing, partly because the cars have gotten too big, and the top three at each race are pretty much from the same group of five guys. However NASCAR hasn't been a lot different from that this year. The camera work in Germany is outstanding and better than usual.

Lewis Hamilton wins from 14th place and Sebastian Vettel wipes out by himself while leading all friggen' day. Stuff like that NEVER happens in F1.
