Beanie has 3 picks. Cool. I guess he is good tackling too.

Suttons return is on the horizon vs. Washington after the bye.

Not sure how this would affect Beanies play time.

Also to be considered is Terrell Edmunds play time. HE played 18 def snaps.. Or 25% of defensive snaps.

As i recall he wasnt impressive. Maybe im wrong.. Anyway.. im wondering if sutton pushes out edmunds on dime or nickel packages , whatever they were. And beanie keeps his slot d back job.... or does cam sutton return and take over.

It will be interesting to see how it unfolds

Beanie has been exposed in coverage at times, as expected for a young guy. He has also shown impressive ball skills at times. I think Sutton could bring something to the table as well, maybe a return of the slot Blitz? It is also nice to have a boundary capable backup returning.

With the premium placed on turnovers I expect Cam will be eased back in unless Beanie starts struggling bad.

In Cam Sutton you also have an outside corner backup upgrade
I would rather have Trice back outside and leave Sutton inside. Cam didn’t seem to do too well outside when he was with us…

As a starter no, he didn't, as a spot duty he is an improvement to what we currently have

Sutton has to work himself into game shape first, but as Litos has mentioned he’s a savvy slot player and right now has backup boundary corner ability. Trice could be the sleeper though as a backup to either side too. Edmunds play is at box safety and knows the defense pretty well. When he covers TEs he’s fine, adjusting to those plays hasn’t seemed to be a problem.

You would play him over Trice outside?

🤔

Keep Beanie at what he’s doing. He’s playing good right now

Good problem to have. My guess is Henderson gets the ax or James Pierre. Maybe the Steelers try to trade someone for a WR.

The only intrigue here is who plays when they go five. 6 it's gonna be Sutton and Bishop. Bishop has shown knack for plays but one he was beat and got a gift other was ball play by team mate and he got deflection. Made an awesome play on the Rogers undercut. Sutton was pretty close to a lock down slot corner last season here. I'd have a hard time not seeing what he brings in nickle coverage.

NO, provided Trice is up to speed and healed - N - ready.

Both players will need game time to work into game speed shape.

Salute the nation

Beanie is a great story but Sutton is still the best we have at that position. Sutton will end up with the most snaps. Beanie should still get some snaps but he will be valuable when Sutton is gone. I think he is only here for this year unless they extend him.
