The religious right is on their last legs. Nationalism is the future of the party.
On a national level issues like abortion, gun rights, gay marriage, christian bigotry... no one gives a ****. All that stuff is water under the bridge from about 25 years ago. Only in hillbilly, USA do people even care about that stuff and that's like 10% of the population and 75% of the area. But that figures since those parts of the country are 25 years in the past anyways.
The only way the right-wing gets back in the picture is with a Nationalist platform. It works for hispanics. It works for blacks. Secure the borders Anti-socialism. Even blacks know that 50 years of Johnson's "War of Poverty" hasn't done jack **** for their cause and was, in fact, one of the great travesties of government and snake oil salesmanship that has done nothing to help them. Major cities have had 50 years of straight democratic rule and have degraded into bankruptcy.
This is the message the right needs to champion. I want legal immigration. We welcome all races and creeds willing to work hard and be rewarded. No free handouts that have kept generations of poor "in their place" for democrats to manipulate.
