Josh Bell hit a 472-foot home run into the Allegheny River in the fourth inning of Wednesday’s game with the Rangers at PNC Park, becoming the fourth player to reach the water on the fly.

And, leading 6-2, Hurdle leaves Feliz in too long. He walks the bases loaded and then gives up a GS. Game tied.

Why not pull him after he walked 2? ... then the next guy up makes it a 6-5 game. If I were a position player I'd be pissed.

Hurdle has no baseball instincts, doesn't have that extra sense to know when it's time to change pitchers. You have the best closer in the game, put Vasquez in to get the final out in the top of the eighth once Felez loaded the bases and it was more than evident he was struggling. Then you have a good chance of stopping the threat and going in to the ninth with a 4 run lead. Instead he rolls the dice with a struggling relief pitcher like he's done so often in the past.
