Not trying to start a war on Bell, but does it appear Bell doesn't have his burst?
Or am I just seeing things?

I think it was just today. He has to be gassed. He has been the workhorse for the offense since the passing game isn’t there. Plus there not taking him out for breaks when the kid has shown a lot ...which I don’t understand. Someone said he was hurt after that nice run. I donno but he needs more breaks.

With a game this Thursday they better damn sure have a game plan that doesn’t run through bell. He needs rest

Bell did look odd today after he was happy for a rest. His running wide today lost more than he gained. Of course the entire team looked as if they all went to the Pitt game and practiced dances than play some good football against a inferior Colt team.

Yep...he does look gassed. Many saw it in the game thread.

Or the Colts players made good tackles
..Mingo isnt slow..and im guessing the CB isnt either..

112 combined yards isn't horrible.

Bell has never been a blazer.
But in regards to the gist of the thread, his instinct for finding holes is noticeably different this season

Why doesn't Conner get more carries as a normal part of the offense?

He is a liability in the pass protection area.

I think Bell needs to learn that against teams with very fast defenders he just needs to hit the hole and go. The stuttering around the line works well when our O line is dominating, but when they go against better lines he needs to get a sense of what's happening and just go. Use your strength and shiftiness after you hit the hole. He can lean on whatever style the game calls for, and mix it up in the same game.

We all saw what Conner did in just one play.

He definitely looked slow today. Several times he didn't even come close to making one guy miss. He looked like he did when he first started the season after missing camp and the preseason.

It's hard to escape the giant sucking force emanating from Ben.

You are spot on. Been saying this all year. He’s not elite anymore just a good work horse type.

I see a burst and more power whenever Connor carries it, but he just doesn’t get enough chances to show us what the game would like with him carrying it 10 times or more.

Line looked like **** today. Thought that was part of the issue. They got lucky with some shoes string tackles.

Line was garbage most of the game, 100% agreed. Bell only averaged 3.1 today. Just didn't look himself today.

I think the O-line had the bye week blues. As did much of the team.

Good thing is there is only one of them.........

I️ not recall Bell ever bursting and out running anyone for a big play.

I️ Watch Gurley and just think wow

Bell is 40 yards away from being the NFL leader in running back yardage. (He is in third place)

For the love of got damn it mane, some of you.
