As the future first ballot Hall of Fame QB Ben Roethlisberger continues down what is presumably his final season, it’s worth noting that Big Ben continues to move up the All-Time charts in multiple significant categories in 2021.
Roethlisberger already eclipsed the 60,000-yard mark in passing yards so far this season, moving past Dan Marino for #6 All-Time along the way. With his 266 yard effort in defeating the Cleveland Browns, he also eclipsed 62,000 yards and is now just 1,302 yards shy of moving past Philip Rivers to reach #5 All Time.
With his 4th quarter TD pass to Pat Freiermuth, Big Ben continued on multiple additional records.
Earlier in the season he joined the 8-member club of QBs with 400 TDs, notching #404 and having a chance to pass Marino (420) and Rivers (421) by the end of the season.
It marked his 37th 4th quarter comeback win, breaking the tie for #3 All-Time with Drew Brees. It also marked his 49th game winning drive – where he ranks #4 All-Time.
Roethlisberger continued on the longest active streak in the NFL of 22 consecutive games with a TD pass. Roethlisberger ranks 17th All-Time with 26 consecutive games with a TD pass (10/5/17-12/30/2018) and needs only 4 more games to tie and 5 more to surpass his own/franchise best.
Roethlisberger also notched his 160th win as a starting QB – where he securely sits #5 All-Time.
