The Pittsburgh Steelers newly retired legend Ben Roethlisberger dropped the ceremonial puck tonight at the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers game at PPG Paints arena. The Penguins encouraged all fans to bring their Terrible Towel’s to the arena to give Roethlisberger a warm welcome.

To begin the night all of the Penguins players took the ice for warm up’s wearing Roethlisberger #7 jerseys.

There seems to be a lot of Ben Roethlisbergers out for warmups before the Penguins take on the Rangers Tuesday at PPG Paints Arena. pic.twitter.com/PL6WHRmi0D

They’re honoring recently retired Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger at tonight’s game. He’s down there watching warmups with his family and all of the #Pens players are wearing No. 7. pic.twitter.com/i4dNOorXZk

I hear yaz slash...................................................

I bet it was pretty cool to see and I'm glad they show a little notoriety towards our football legend.

Salute the nation

A. It would have been fitting had the Pens completed the “4th quarter” comeback last night lol

B. The amount of non Pittsburgh pens fans bitching about them honoring him last night was absurd on the messageboards
