Needs to rest this entire week. if he needs to get treatment for the hip, then go get it then go home. but come Monday, he needs to go in and watch film, Tuesday the same. and come Wed, he needs to practice. the fact that him and DJ/Claypool are still missing on the communication aspect is really getting old. we are so used to the well oiled machine that was Ben and AB. they new what each other was thinking it was really unreal. the fact that that it hasn't resulted in a pick 6 yet is really remarkable.

Yeah um if Ben is "resting" an entire week I am thinking that communication aspect would be substandard. Give him the normal time off, next week I am wanting him to practice Wednesday too. Hoping to see Tuitt, McFarland, and Banner playing in two weeks.

They have a bye next weekend. Resting this week would still give him a full week to work on the communication.

You comfy in feeling that would be enough? Not so sure.

Funny how the communication is fine with his rookie TE.
The Steelers WR are either boom or bust

Bingo. Granted, the workload is not nearly the same, but somebody needs a kick in the *** in that WR room.

man im sick of all the talking head haters hating on ben. geez us he can't win with those fukers. ESPN is the I hate sports network they take every negative thing they can find and amplify it to make a huge negative story out of it. look at the huge talking head industry that has built up around sports its pretty shocking. football ,basketball, hockey, you just had real fans, but as the popularity spread to the casual fans now you have the hater fans. you take sport add politics and race and geez and you ruin the sport for the real fan and I hate to say but it seems that is what the goal of ESPN has been for the last decade. instead of as Lombardi said to cheer the winner its about tearing down the winner and promote the transexuals beating up on teen girls in highschool sports. for most of us real fans that would watch the game even if they played it in a parking lot its hard to swallow. doesn't matter what ben does the haters are going to hate.

I think right now the only thing that would make me comfy would be a complete brain transplant for our wide receiver corps.

Sit back and get comfy then as I'm about to do surgery........................... I have my stand-by RED HOT POKER in case of a bleeder.........................

FIRST one I'd kick is the coaching, then from there on down the appropriate receiver.

PS

Steelworth, if they (WRs) can't learn their assignments then bench them without pay. Many of the great "past" WRs put extra time effort into thier respective trades. Just because the time clock has been punched doesn't mean you are free to go, player association rules or not.

Funny you say this, NFL.com has an article that says steelers still lame. In it, the author says "Ben still can't throw", what's even more humorous, Chris Collinsworth basically have a big FU to it critics with his compliment of Ben's back to back pin point throws to DJ. He said watch this two throws and tell me his arm is shot, I don't think so.

Media just wants to pile on Ben when he's not the only reason the O struggles. Plenty of blame to go around, but Ben's arm is just fine

He could win two championships in a row, cure cancer and bring world peace. The sports media would still tear him down

All you read from the talking heads is Ben hate and we get plenty on here. It's ridiculous. He's a first-ballot HOFer and still the best QB on our roster. The haters can sit down and shut the **** up because we know you will be at the front of the line bitching and moaning missing Ben when he is gone and we are waiting for our next franchise QB. It took almost 2 decades the last time.

It’ll probably take two decades again. Aside from a dominant defense. QB is a key position at having success - long term speaking.

With our coaching/.............................. can we get 10 first rounders QBs on offense ?

I disagree, The Ravens won a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer. You can win a championship with a Damn good defense, A solid running game, and a game managing QB. Rudolf can be the game manager, We have a damn good defense, and Najee is an elite runner...All we need IMO is a few pieces to solidify the Offensive line and for Tomlin to GTF out of the way of the play calling.

The league is even more QB/passing game-dependent than it was 20 years ago.

It's going to be tough for the Steelers with what other teams in the division and conference have at the QB position for the foreseeable future.

In being optimistic, if Banner can come in and nail down the RT spot, slide Chuks to RG.

Turner needs to be gone.

if Ben has more than 2 seconds to throw, he is still effective. I can see now that he's not too trusting of the guys in front of him. Put a giant like Banner over there, beef up the OL and that might help.

Communication with Ben and the WRs is not going to get better if they're all sitting around this week. I'd have a normal week of practice, but emphasize offense. A good offense is within reach of our offensive offense. If we just become average, the defense can get some rest and keep us in games. Ben and the WRs need to work a lot more in practice on timing, etc. Right now, the closest to a sure thing at WR is DJ. And some say he's soft. Well, those soft shoulders gonna have a bigger payload going forward until Mapletron can get out of neutral. Hopefully Miller can come in and make some kind of an impact.

Regardless, the offense needs a lot more work than what they've been putting in.

The light is turning on for Najee and despite an early bye, it might help keep him and Green from hitting that rookie wall too hard. Shouldn't effect Muth at all, though, considering he's not getting as much PT as the other two.

You can have an average QB and a lights out D for a season or two, but long term you need a great QB who, even if you can’t score every possession you can at least have your QB help the special teams in favor of field position.

A great offense compliments a great defense. The playbook gets less complicated the less plays you have to run.

My only knock on Ben this season is the lack of utilizing short passes in the middle. Now we’re finally seeing some Friermuth. Now look, two wins in a row

I would slide haeg in the RG spot, chuk is too finesse for it

Bench Claypoop for half the game to see of that lights a fire under his ***. Let him be the 3rd WR and use a load of two TE sets cause indont want Ray Ray getting snaps either
