Big Play Slay has been cut

It seemed like he was hurt at least 3 times a game.
We could have spent that money on a number 2 or even 3 receiver.

Everyone on this board makes good points and can see what’s happening here.
Over the years posters have correctly called out players not performing well and eventually those guys were let go. My point is the Steeler fans have really good football IQ and can spot a rotten egg when they see it.
The gig has caught up to the con man and even the most loyal fans and even a lot of the Tomlin supporters have had enough.
I think we’ve been more than patient with Tomlin and fans have just had enough. When you just know how each season is going to end with late season slides, barely making a playoff slot only to be embarrassed, you say what’s the point.
Nothing changes from season to season in the approach, the schematics, the ridiculous boring predictable offense.
The defense seems to get worse every season and is also predictable.
The players, coordinators, coaches, all come and go. QB has become a ******* punchline! Since Ben we’ve gone through Mitch T, Kenny P, Rudy twice now, Justin Fields, Russell Wilson, and now Aaron Rodgers. That’s six starting QBs in four seasons,
Whose next?
There remains one constant in all of this!

Not my favorite move, but, the guy still is shifty enough on his intermediate routes and still can separate from most man coverage to make a descent gain, knows how to find a hole in zone coverage. He isn’t going to take one to the house but still is shifty enough and can be a reliable target to move the chains. Makes me wonder if MVS has a nagging injury or there is something else going on.

I want Tomlin gone in the worst way, and they made MASSIVE mistakes this offseason, but they did realize they messed up and addressed a couple of them. I will give credit for that. They brought in Dugger and cut Thornhill, and now they added Samuel and cut Slay. It's not going to move the needle this year, but...

However, I'm very confused on the claiming of Theilen with MVS on the practice squad

It's become very apparent the Steelers goal is keeping Tomlin's streak alive, not actually competing for anything meaningful. The combination of all these moves is why there's no direction with the team and a big part why they're stuck in neutral.
