Clean house staff and any sissy that can’t tackle or block. Trade Najee he’s nothing special can’t break a tackle and has no speed. Trade whoever you need to to get draft picks, rebuild the right way.

I just don't get the hate for Najee
Agreed. He is running behind the worst OL in the league who's 2 rookies are hitting the rookie wall. The line hasn't improved this year as most had hoped due to injuries and them hitting that rookie wall. Najee will still put up over 1,500 yards from scrimmage behind that terrible OL yet those blind folk will still try to say he sucks. Truly bizarre.

because he was hyped as an instant fix for the run game and people believed his talents were going to make having an oline that can block irrelevant and now they blame him for the defense getting to run free at him in the backfield

This I agree with. If you watch the end against their scrubs that is what it should look like. 3 yards before contact. Fight through the arm tackle. But when it matters they have 1s against our scrub line. I gotta say hate for Najee is simply ill knowledgeable fans.

If Najee had any guts he’d shake those two guys off who are hitting him in the backfield virtually every play (sometimes 3 or 4 guys in the backfield) and get at least 5 yards every carry

I think this money here. You switch backs today. Najee Hass 175 total yards easy.

Drafting Najee over lineman was a mistake. Much like bring Ben back was. But that's because of what the Steelers are not what Ben and Najee are. He didn't write his name on that draft pick and he leaves everything on the field for this mutt show line and this incompetent coaching staff.

Yep, good player, bad pick. Barring a Chiefs-like transformation during this offseason, it was an offseason that setback the rebuild.

Agree with bringing Ben back being a mistake.

I think in the end that will be a wash. Ben or Mason, this team wasn't going to be much better than a 7-9 win team at best and I think we already all know Mason isn't the QB moving forward.

The big mistake wasn't building the offensive line. You build this unit first, allow them to develop as the team transitions to a new QB in 2022. A strong offensive line and you can contend with a mid-tier veteran next season. Instead, they're going to have to start from scratch with new personnel and a new OL coach.

The Harris pick wasn't as grim as Muuth (who I've loved from the start at PSU) in the second round over Creed Humphrey
I would've preferred Humphrey in the first over Harris. Running back is a bad investment in the first round and it is a position that's readily available late in the draft or free agency. Look around the league today and you find unheralded guys producing in a lot of cities.

What gaps are you seeing? If you are seeing gaps, man you missed your calling. Run straight??into what? The back of his lineman?

He was more decisive early in the season. Now, after having his head beaten in 20-30 times a game, many times a half second after receiving the ball, he’s worn the **** out, and even a bit gunshy. I feel the same with Ben. There was a screen play where he could choose either left or right, and immediately went to the right, and the play was blown up immediately. However, to the left, the screen was there, with no defenders, and would’ve been a td. He hurried the ball because he’s been pressured, and hit far too much this year. The line fucjing blows, and is the issue right behind every single piece of **** on the coaching staff. There is NO reason the talking heads aren’t calling this guy out. Tomlin should be the butt of every ******* joke in the NFL tomorrow morning because of how much a fraud he is. Yet, every jagoff “analyst,” is going to say that it’s all Ben’s fault, and that he’s too old.

But does the front office? I agree with you in believing that we'd be at 7-7-1 with or without Ben.

Anything short of winning the SB this year will be a wasted year. What should have been done this year will have to wait until next year. We have to go through another season with Mason at the helm in order for the front office to decide on whether he's the guy going forward.

Face it, The Bus couldn't run anywhere with this line. Maybe he'd get a few extra yards with Lester but I'll give the rookie a break and look forward to what he can do with a decent line and scheme to match it rather than the sandlot **** we are seeing today: "Here is the ball, run with it.."

You weren't getting a better season with Rudolph. I will for sure agree with that statement. But the rebuild would be one year further down the road. I was saying all of this at the end of last year. Instead of doing the hard things they tried to put lipstick on the pig and re-uped Tomlin for a rebuild he is completely unqualified for. A rebuild requires young coaches with young contacts in the coaching community and innovative ideas. Tomlin has none of these.

Last years line was showing age and bad, this years version is atrocious.
It's not the fault of Najee if there isn't a hole to hit.
Remember all of the people who said "this year's line can't be any worse than last year's"? LOL!

It's usually a mess up front but when there is a hole he is still trying to string some of them outside rather than hitting him. He's leaving some yards out there, not often, but sometimes.
