I’m no expert.
Do yinz share the same sentiments?
Are yinz “Blown away “?

Cowherd points out….
Takes a dinosaur offense the last 7 years to top a 10
Top 10 in TD passes
Top 10 in competition %
Top 10 QB rating
Rodgers is on pace to surpass the great year Favre had in GB.

Cowherd also states to bolster Rodgers value and contribution…
Tomlin deserves NO credit.
Running game still sucks….”I can average 1.7 yds a carry falling down, and so could you.” LOL
O line average
The D not very good,

My opinion…holy mother of mercy we’d could very well be 0-8 without Rodgers!!!
…and Tomlin deserves some credit for acquiring Rodgers.

Sincere question:
At this moment in time of the Steeler organization and the near future ahead…
Would it be more favorable for near future success to be 0-8 than our current status/position in the league?
Just asking for a friend

That was fast!
I knew someone would go there the second I typed that!

But your friend has a valid question.

No. There is no notable franchise QB coming out this year...

Tomlin does deserve some credit for painting himself into the corner where he no other recourse but to sit, wait and pray his man crush would come to his doorstep and take him on a date…which is exactly where Rodgers was in his decision making process. Pretty sure Rudy doesn’t have this squad at 5-3.

So yes Tomlin does deserve credit for painting himself into the corner and duct taping together another possible Tomlinship run.

Rodgers has been very efficient and the offense has been productive without any real semblance of a running game. If they could figure out how to run the ball and increase their TOP it would certainly help that abysmal defense Tomlin has created…if they could crack that code they may even win a single playoff game as long as they: win the division so the game is at home and have a significant plus in the turnover margin.

Cowherd is definitely being too harsh on these WC contenders.

I don’t know how Superman feels, but I would have to say this,
Friend, yes.
Smart not so sure?

Sigh,

Aaa-Ron has been refreshing at the QB position. He is by far the best QB since Ben Rothlisberger’s retirement.

The sad part is there seems to be very little to compliment him in coaching significance.

I will admit the lift Aaa-Ron has elevated to those around him, has also rubbed off to a lesser degree to the key coaching staff.

Arthur Smith seems better all around, Coach Tomlin hasn’t made that stupid comment of calling different “D” (like the time Ben was playing) as opposed to Aaa-Ron.

The “D” is struggling, imagine if the “O” had less possession time………. That was the excuse for the last 5 years, tired run down defense.

I do hope Aaa-Ron stay another year and both him and Tomlin retire holding hands while leaving the facility.

Imagine Will Howard with another year mentorship with Rodgers.

When A-Aron was dragging out the drama last spring and early summer I knew he'd sign here.
Shades usually gets from the GM what Shades wants.

I will admit that I was skeptical at first about bringing in Rodgers thinking he was done but he’s changed my viewpoint entirely.
Without him this team could possibly be currently a one win team. He’s added leadership, ability, QB IQ like we haven’t seen since Ben, and he is the epitome of a field general.
I will give Tomlin credit for his part in bringing Aaron to the team but Tomlin must get his defense to play with consistency.
I’m certainly not expecting multiple turnovers every week since that’s unrealistic, but I’m hoping for aggressive, disciplined, and smart defensive play and not predictable schemes and guys not staying in their gaps.
If Tomlin can enforce that, great, we have a chance this year, but if not it’s back to just Tomlinships again.
I will add, only one team makes the playoffs from our division this year so they better get this defense fixed every week or they’ll be watching from home.
The Ravens will stack wins together now so cannot afford games like the Bengals and Packers.

The Rats will not sweep the Bungals or us. Too much ground to make up...

I'll add this... the remainder of our schedule is no cake walk. I fully expect the team to keep the momentum going...
We are the only team to beat 2 teams with 7 wins this season. 🤔

A good question for yinz.

The majority of us including myself didn’t want Rodgers for various reasons.
How do you feel now?

I have to say that I’m glad he’s a Steeler.

Isn’t it funny. I must have read 20 articles before the season began about this being a bumper crop of QB’s and that there were a legitimate 4-5 first round picks.

The draft in Pittsburgh, lots of picks, big trade up, finally our true franchise QB…….are you annihilating my dream scenario? 😁🍻🍻

Yup, I can’t think of one QB that will be available by FA, draft, or trade this coming offseason that Tomlin will trust to throw to the whole field. If Tomlin is retained for 2026 the only chance this team has of being competitive to win a playoff game in 2026 is if Rodgers wants to come back and Father Time doesn’t catch up to him

Rodgers is by far the overwhelming reason we have 5 wins and a competent offense

Agreed but methinks Young Howard is taking notes and getting his game skills polished. One more year under the sensei would be ideal...
