That was so long ago games had only been broadcast in color for four full seasons....and here I thought we only had a B&W Tv.The Blonde Boomer was a hero to many growing up. Without the "internet" age a lot of details weren't available other than Pittsburgh and that area. I always was reading the papers / late sports / ect. for anything STEELERS. Getting the scores were easy but it was the insight that never made national news, that ws hard to get.
I was a "SUPER STEELERS" fan through and through. I watched the before Terry's day as well.
Salute the nation
I remember that game to this day. The team was night and day with him in it and him not in it.Bradshaw’s final game was so bittersweet
yeah it was hell trying to find any news other than highlights of the game during Monday night footballThe Blonde Boomer was a hero to many growing up. I remember. as a kid, it became expectation that they would win. didnt realize how special that was.PS
Joe Greene was a hero for me too, his CoCa Cola comercial was and is the GREATEST SB commercial ever. I saw that commercial and would actually dream it was me and Joe was my friend.
It wasn't a question of if they could but but more of a expectation that they would win. Cowher's teams had that sense to a degree. Tomlin started out slightly but as players left that feeling has left as well and hasn't been present in quite some time.
Some here will remember exactly what I am talking about and won't be able to nothing but get a warm smile and a "yes" head nod.
