In that soaking rain, Green Bay's uniforms really looked a whole lot like the Steelers' color rush uni's.
Ehh, that was a bad hit. Ball was gone, he led with his helmet, hit the receiver's helmet. Just a dumb hit and clearly not permitted under the rules.
Branch must have had a hard on for that receiver.
I read that the replay officials actually called for the ejection. Part of Branch's problem is that he was fined just a few weeks ago for an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit on Cardinals TE that gave him a concussion. Branch had to leave that game with a possible concussion as well.
The NFL tracks players who have a "reputation." James Harrison's bank account can attest to that fact.
