The headline is a little miss leading,…….. the actual delay for the next flight was only 18 minutes late on arrival of their destination.
MIND YOU, I am not taking away and trashing of the browns as they did trash that plane. The ground crew did a fantastic job and the pilot made up some time while in flight to destination.

Like I posted elsewhere, the Brows don’t win because their culture is immature and ultimately selfish to the core.

You should see their stadium. While the players are not at fault for it is still is part of a culture that shows. Its in terrible shape. Having moved here from Dallas for a job my company bids on and has done work there in the past. We do not do work for them anymore cause they are a pain to deal with. We deal with every other major sports franchise here and they are a pleasure to work with. There are former employees of the the browns that now work for another local sports team that literally cant stop saying how terrible that organization is on the inside. And these are people that have worked in pro sports for quite a while.

I am hoping Watson has a miserable year and they can’t reasonably rework his deal, basically dooming them for a half decade of cap hell

Why would he rework his deal. Its fully guaranteed. That's the only reason he even went there. It was a such a massively stupid deal in his favor that he holds any and all leverage. The only incentive they would be able to offer him is even more money just spread out which would be compounding the stupidity of it.
The Browns PR department might give a ****.That there is some BREAKING NEWS. Or it is just ....WHO GIVES A **** NEWS.

It never fails with this organization. The laughingstock in all of sports do some **** every year to embarrass themselves.
They happened to get an early start this year.
See their plan was to rework it and push money back each year… year 1 his actual salary was 1 million dollars…(league minimum)
This year they moved all but 1 million dollars from his guaranteed salary to a signing bonus that gets redistributed over the remainder of the contract… significantly lowering his cap hit this year… but that has diminishing returns… the cap does go up 20 million every year for the next like 5 years, but so do other players salaries…
Next season his cap hit is 63 million dollars …The Browns can renegotiate his contract like tgey did this season and lower it to about 33 million dollars… but then his last two seasons he will count for about 80 million dollars in cap hit each year… which is why the Browns plan was to add years on every season after this and kick the can down the road… but if Watson doesn’t look good again, how do they justify adding huge money to the contract?
Also, they are already 83 million dollars over the projected 24 salary cap…..
As for why he would rework the deal, players don’t care how the money is labeled as long as they get it… he doesn’t take less money… he just gets a lump sum when he signs the deal rather than spread out over the season

The verbal exchange escalated into him trashing the plane. Later after regaining his composure and realizing the enormity of what he had just done, he accused the flight attendant of using the said racial slur. None of the other players was said to have heard it.

And people wonder why they haven't won **** in over half a century. The culture left when they moved to Baltimore,turned purple and won a few superbowls.
The whole plane reeked of suck and sadness.
So the plan was to Bobby Bonilla the contract? Brilliant. Worked out great for the Mess.
Yikes. $33 million is way too much, but $63 million??
